Spill some tea why do you hate americans? Is it bc of that post about spain?
It’s not for a specific post, it’s because of the attitude of Most Americans on this website, that is their complete and utter belief that their US-centered, US-focused experiences are somewhat universal to the rest of us, when, actually, truthfully, at least some, if not most, opinions of Barbara from Brooklyn, NY, originally from somewhere in fucking Montana, whose entire life experience is based off growing in Montana and then moving to New York have nothing to do with and mean nothing to me as someone so who was born and raised in a different country, culture, environment and whose entire life experiences are fundamentally different from hers. But Barbara from Montana, now living in New York, must be right, because she is American, and the internet and social platforms are largely and predominantly US-centred, so we are expected to just take the social, economic, cultural - even linguistic - background that has made us into what we are today and toss it in the bin, picking instead a brand new shiny American-approved way of thinking. Your language has gender in grammar? Your language is transphobic. Using the word ‘race’ to describe a person’s ethnicity is really, really bad in your language, because its history is tied with Nazism, and the people who use it ordinarily are KKK level racists? You’re erasing the existence of racism in Europe. How come you haven’t heard of this protest happening in a small city in Florida? You’re not interested in social issues, nothing else is happening in your country that is relevant with you. At one time I had one American trying to argue with me, an Italian, that Famous Philisopher ITALIAN Giordano Bruno’s name was actually also spelled GiordanA, which is a female name. I studied Giordano Bruno in my Philosophy class. I had an exam on Giordano Bruno. I am Italian. This person? They had used a quote from Giordano Bruno for a fucking One Direction gif post. To this day that was the most mindboggingly stupid conversation I have ever had to partake in. I have an opinion. “But in America…” I don’t care. I don’t fucking care. You wouldn’t be able to look into the profound pit of the abyss of how much I don’t Give a Shit
