"I overwork and keep my nose to the ground. Cause when it comes to love in Minnesota [where Leroy at the time was chilling at], it can't be found." – Leroy Curriculum (Rhyme For Us Mr. Bailey, Caffinated Nation LLC)
2025 really weighted a lot on me, so much so that my life almost felt like this song sometimes.
4 months ago, me and Leroy was discussing the ebbs and flows as underground people. The weight of our lives have been so heavy, while everyone else's had a job, I also had an incoming job months after that conversation. Rhyme For Us Mr. Bailey wasn't the only EP that kinda motivated me to continue real work for example; thanks to that record and every piece of inspiration I've found, I had actually completed a temporary job as a cashier.

I'm switching my Tumblr game up with a twist. Here's why.
Almost 10 or 12 years of being on Tumblr, my brain be going elsewhere everytime I would post certain things. My first one, before I made this page, was a weird name called 'Gloverment,' but I didn't really add sense to it, I was super younger and weirding out at the time after coming home from school. (Lol)
But then my golden years came along, and I moved on from that name. My rants (from the 'gram to Twitter), however, would be all over the place as a teenager going through adult mentality... if you get what I'm saying. Sometimes I have regrets, other times I don't.
Fast forward to this year and 2026 in advance, I decided I put some of my spasmodics somewhere else, and the Tonyversial blog is the best place for me to let off A LOT of steam, especially months after I built this while on my lil' promo run for dolo. The name is a representation of me wanting to avoid and cast down too much "justified" censorship, depression, and paranoia. Parallel parking style, so not everybody wanna be ready for the hard stuff coming out of my enamel.
This is still the ALJ blog where I can reblog or post whatever just in case your wondering. And yes, music from a million planets.
I just wanted to keep everybody posted, while I'll just categorize and, I repeat, switch my Tumblr game up a notch. I've seen most people on the 'net chop it up about the hard stuff on their main pages. Like... really hard subjects. *I speak on things like that with folks myself too.* But with this thing, I put my lava, my volcano storms, even my other ingredients full of hard game to it when speaking on the challenges of the world. Tonyversial is worth the name and the game, because I'm somewhat known for these things behind the name.
When I got the news, it hurts like hell. But I do know this; nothing and nobody will replace the best of the best. D'Angelo will always be our friend even if delivered back to the essence. "How Does It Feel?" [and many more songs] is one of them ones that shaped my wild childhood. Many years later, I was still stoked but glad I got to stream the rest of the Voodoo album on Spotify. Even watched his full concerts on YouTube.
You see, funk ain't dead, it's the politics that get in the way of it, but that wouldn't stop us from making things happen when it comes to what we mean by the term "funk." Of course, soul. Every element we've watched him use in his music shows that life is much deeper than the music.
But all in all, we will always love and miss him dearly. I believe that we'll all see him again someday.
JUDGMENT DAY 2030
I've touched on NDAs, mules, supremacy, pick-and-chooses between entertainment, egos, and spirituality, etc. Did this song just to cast down what I think are even more generational curses, with a pinch of my own cadence to it. I'm not overly religious, but it was worth my shot while I had written it. - ALJ
If these walls can talk...
Oh yes, this is one of my generation's best prescription drugs from day one. (Prescription drugs being "In Search Of..." being one of the most ASTONISHING in music.) Concept of self-worth, consciousness, urgency, retaliation and at the same time, various intimacy/fantasy, all came from getting addicted to this album. Not only get me so high, especially from 9th to 12th grade [and moving forward] and... maybe my so-called curiosity over women (my bad), but this record also saved my life as a 14 year old regardless. This is both 24 and 25 years of that itch being scratched. Every picture I draw, every beat I make, mostly every companion I make, and even honestly every girl I met as a friend (Idk where I'm going with this), is because of not only this record, and N.E.R.D as a whole being one of them ones. But because the music taught me how to not only scrap or flirt, but also have to take my L's and chalk 'em up for dolo. I even gave my then-peers a piece of my creative [music] taste from this.
All and all, I don't care if I'm a fanboy or a Stan. I don't care what anybody gotta say. This was-is what kept me going for years. Got me through mental health therapy, got me through my personal laundry, helped me make new friends, etc. I'm glad that I can still use this record, and almost everyone else's moving forward, as my group of seasonings. I'd still be losing all purpose in life and humanity if it had not been for all kinds of music including this one. N.E.R.D 4 life.
Out-the-way anthem on mines.
Once again, shout out to @bearhaley. This one's just an early bird warmup for the summer/fall.
