the pasta I made is a pasta I make all the time but I decided to include anchovies which was a mistake! everyone loves anchovies so I thought they’d be great, but they stunk up the whole kitchen with a back alley fish smell. the dish sans anchovy is caramelized onion, whole wheat egg noodles al dente of course, toasted walnuts mixed in with the onion once they’re done cooking, toss with the cooked pasta, then add more olive oil and lemon juice/zest. Serve with salt pepper and a sprinkle of parmesan and always, always, always, a large tablespoon of plain greek yogurt on the side/mixed in/on my body/in my mouth cuz it’s so perfect. this time I cooked the chopped up anchovy with the onion and it was G R O S S. those little entrails were all over everything once I mixed everything together. I was not into it.
