𖡡   SWITZERLAND       ⬦       AGES       :       18-28.       after  nineteen  months  of  being  stranded  in  the  canadian  wilderness,       the  surviving  yellowjackets  are  finally  rescued.       while  the  other  girls  return  to WISKAYOK  and  attempt  to  reclaim  the  lives  they  left  behind,       lottie  is  quietly  removed  from  the  public  eye  after  being  deemed  mentally  unwell  by  her  parents.       she  is  committed  to  an  isolated PSYCHIATRIC  FACILITY  in  switzerland,       where  she  endures  a  decade  of electroshock  therapy  and  other  treatments  in  an  effort  to  erase  what  she  claims  followed  them  home.

when  the  treatments  do  eventually  come  to  an  end,       the  wilderness  has not  been  erased—       but  rather,       has  been  buried  beneath  years  of  sedation.       her  connection  to  something OTHERWORLDLY  becomes  suppressed  by  medications  and  therapeutic  language.       lottie  learns  that silence  and  compliance  are REWARDED—       while  certainty  and  devout  faith  are  treated  as  symptoms. 

with  this  realization,       lottie  begins  to  act  accordingly  to APPEAR  MENTALLY  WELL  to  the  facility’s  staff.       she  spends  years  becoming  someone  who  is  easier  to  understand.       she  learns  which  thoughts  belong INSIDE  HER  HEAD  and  which  ones  are APPROPRIATE  to  speak  aloud.       she  memorizes  the  art  of  ordinary  conversation.       she STUDIES  PEOPLE  closely—       observing  their  habits,       anticipating  their  reactions,       and  imitating  them  until  performance  becomes SECOND  NATURE  to  her. 

the PROPHETIC  girl  that  was  made  in  the  wilderness  begins  to  disappear  beneath  layers  upon  layers  of rehearsed  normalcy.       this  continues  to  the  day  she  is  released,       just  three  months  before  her 29th  birthday.

REAPER  AU.       ⬦       AGES       :       REDACTED.       charlotte  matthews  died  on  the  steps  of  a  hotel  basement  believing  that  she  had  finally  paid  the  price  for  every  life  she  touched,       for  every  sacrifice  demanded  by  the  wilderness,       and  every  wound  left  to  fester  beneath  the  promise  of  salvation.       BUT  DEATH  DISAGREED.       when  lottie  opened  her  eyes,       she  did  not  find  heaven  or  hell—       instead,       she  found THEODORA  GRAVESEND.       death  herself  presented  lottie  with  a  sentence  disguised  as  purpose       :        REAPERHOOD.       it  was  not  a  reward,       so  much  as  it  was  rehabilitation.       a  second  existence  reserved  for souls  too  dangerous  for  paradise  and  too  valuable  to  be  discarded.       she  would  spend  the  appropriate  amount  of  time  atoning  for  the SINS she  committed  in  life.

this  should  have HUMBLED  her,       but  instead—       it  did  the  opposite.       the  woman  who  returns  with  these  newfound  abilities  is  not  the serene  prophet  remembered  by  her  followers.       she  is COLDER  and SHARPER.       death  has  stripped  away  the  desperate  need  to  convince  herself  that  there  is  meaning  behind SUFFERING. 

as  a  reaper,       lottie  hunts  souls  who  flee the  natural  order  and  drags  them  across  the  veil  by  force,        if  necessary.       every VIOLENT  instinct  that  she  buried  beneath  altruism  has  been GIVEN  PERMISSION  to  exist.       she  is  relentless,       bordering  on  feral,       believing  that  fear  is  the  quickest  path  to ACCEPTANCE.       reaperhood  was  never  intended  to ERASE  who  lottie  was  in  life,       but  rather—       force  her  to  confront  the  reality  of   it.

POST - DEATH       ⬦       AGES       :       40+.       after  lottie  suffers  a  fatal  fall—       having  been  pushed  down  a  flight  of  stairs  by CALLIE  SADECKI—       she  succumbs  to  a traumatic  head  injury.       her  body  is  later  discovered  by  a  janitor  and  police  are  called  to  the  scene.       news  of  her  death  spreads  quickly  through  true  crime  forums  and  local  news  outlets,       prompting MALCOLM  MATTHEWS,        in  a  rare  moment  of  lucidity  given  his declining  health,       to  quietly  pay  off  the  nypd  to  rule  his  daughter's  death  an  unfortunate  accident.

her  body  is  transferred  from  the  morgue  to ELYSIAN  GROVE,       where  the  HELIONITES  host  a  memorial  held  within  the  compound's  chapel.       each  follower  leaves  flowers,       written  prayers,       and  small  offerings  around  her  body.       according  to LOTTIE’S  OWN  TEACHINGS,       the  flesh  of  a  prophet  is  never  meant  to  be  surrendered  to  the  earth.       instead,       consuming  it  is  the  highest  act  of  devotion—       a  final  sacrament  in  which  her  spirit  and  wisdom  are  returned  to  those  who LOVED  HER  MOST. 

when  the  mourning  comes  to  an  end,       preparations  for  the RITUALISTIC  FEAST  begin  with  each HELIONITE  believing  they  are  about  to  carry  a  piece  of charlotte  within  themselves  forever.       just  as  the  ceremony  is  about  to  begin,       three  days  after  her  death,       lottie  breathes  new  life  into  herself  and  wakes  to  see  the horrified  faces  of  the HELIONITES.

↟𖠰˚☾       ₀₁       MAIN  VERSE.       :       this  is  the  verse  that  i  will  always  default  to  in  plotting  and  memes,      unless something calls for a younger lottie.       when  the  team  was  rescued,       lottie  was  sent  to  a  psychiatric  facility  in  switzerland  by  her  parents.       she  spends  a  decade  hospitalized  &  receiving  electroshock  therapy,       travels  abroad  for  a  year  upon  release,       and  when  she  returns  to  the  states,       she  is  twenty  -  nine  years  old.       utilizing  her  financial  resources  via  her  father,       lottie  eventually  opens  a  wellness  community  in  cherry  hill,        new  york  that  she  calls  elysian  grove.       lottie  adopts  the  mask  of  charlotte,       a  wellness  guru  &  messiah,       whose  goal  is  to  help  those  suffering  reach  their  most  primal  selves.       in  this  verse,       the  sacrificial  hunts  continue  at  the  compound,       as  well  the  consumption  of  the  chosen  sacrifice  by  the  group       (       cannibalism       ).       while  her  intention  is  to  help  people,       lottie  is  also  desperately  trying  to  keep  herself  from  being  entirely  consumed  by  the  entity  the  team  encountered  in  the  canadian  wilderness  by  keeping  it  fed—       her  efforts  keep  it  mostly  dormant  in  the  lives  of  the  surviving  yellowjackets  until  it  is  no  longer  satisfied  and  begins  to  seek  them  out  one  by  one       :       beginning  with  travis  martinez.       lottie  has  fae  blood  in  this  verse,       so  please  keep  in  mind  that  she  is  not  human.       LORE  FOR  THIS  VERSE  IS  FURTHER  EXPLAINED  IN  THIS  POST.       [       to  be  linked!       ]

DISCLAIMER.         i would like to start by saying that while i will be pulling bits and pieces from the source material,    my portrayal of lottie is going to be heavily headcanon based and canon divergent.   in other words,    she will be treated as an original character save for the basic concept of what was given to us in the series.    i will never push my lore onto those who are writing characters within the yellowjackets fandom.   i will default to what we’ve seen if it’s necessary.   if the affiliation & plotting in my world piques your interest,   please feel free to shoot me a DM.   i also know there’s a big conspiracy about whether or not there is something supernatural at play in the series.       i will be leaning into the idea that there is a supernatural AND psychological aspect involved.       my lottie's backstory has been reshaped to reflect the supernatural aspect a bit more,       so it's safe to say that i will be leaning heavily into that concept.

 001.        activity is forever sporadic.       all that i ask is that you don’t take my slowness or lack of activity as a sign of disinterest.        i am very dedicated to my craft and love creating connections and storylines with like-minded individuals.       work,       real life obligations,       and creative burnouts will be contributing factors to a decline in activity.       if you expect instant replies ic and ooc,       i am just not the writer for you. 

002.        standard roleplay etiquette applies.       don’t steal from me,       as stated above.       don’t force ship or force any sort of dynamics onto my character without discussing it with me first.       don’t be a dick       :        racism,   sexism,       ageism,       lesbophobia,       homophobia,       transphobia,       ableism,       out of character drama,       and other hateful behaviors are not welcome in my space.       this blog is a safe space for both myself and my mutuals and i will behave accordingly in order to maintain and curate said space.       if i see any hateful behavior of any kind,       i will hard block and it is personal. 

003.        this blog is private / mutuals only,       so if you wish to unfollow me at any point–       all i ask is that you either soft block or hard block me.       i don’t want to accidentally cross a boundary you’ve set for yourself if i don’t realize we are no longer mutuals.       i will give you the same courtesy in return,       though breaking mutuals will only ever be a soft block.       the reason behind that is usually due to lack of interactions to keep my dash exclusive to those who reciprocate effort to interact in some fashion and / or support each other.   

004.        from here on out,       i will be keeping things as impersonal as possible until we have naturally built a genuine connection with time.       for me,       roleplay works best when the focus stays on the stories,       the characters,       and the world we are creating together rather than constant out of character conversations.       i'm not going to be cold or unfriendly,       of course,       i just prefer to let trust and comfort develop organically instead of forcing personal interaction right away.       that said,       as we write more consistently,       ooc moments are likely to happen and that's perfectly okay!       but i want to keep healthy boundaries and maintain a clear separation between roleplay chemistry and real life familiarity until that trust is established.

005.        with the above rule in mind       :       i tend to become deeply invested fairly quickly once we develop a creative connection and i'm usually very open about showing appreciation,       enthusiasm,       and effort toward the people / dynamics i enjoy.       i love collaborative energy,       which is why i do this at all.       that said,       i thrive best when that energy feels reciprocated.       if interactions begin to feel heavily one - sided,       or like i’m bothering you,       i will start pulling back and lose interest in maintaining the connection.       one - sided writing partnerships are not something i will continue to entertain or waste energy and time on at this point!       so,       all i really ask for is shared enthusiasm and effort.

007.        i have zero interest in writing ships in the teen timeline because i fully believe that lottie was far too consumed by “ the wilderness “ to really shift focus onto anything romantic with anyone.    that said,   adult!lottie is a very charming and influential individual and some of her tactics may appear flirtatious,   but that does not automatically mean i am implying grounds for a ship.   platonic dynamics are just as important to me.    at this time,   she will remain SELECTIVE MULTI - SHIP for the foreseeable future.    she is a demisexual lesbian,    so genuine romantic relationships will require an emotional connection to be established between lottie and the other muse.    all ships will require plotting.    *   while i do not wish to actively write ships within the teen timeline,   i am more than willing to plot dynamics with yellowjackets that may extend back to their teen years and imply an emotional connection that could lean romantic.    

008.        dynamics may eventually require plotting,        but i am open to using memes / prompts / random interactions to get something started.       memes never expire & you are always free to send them in whenever you get the inspiration to do so.       plotting can be done in dms or through discord. 

009.        i try to be fairly easy going.    tumblr ims are always open to mutuals for discussions and just shooting the shit about our muses.    i have discord,    but due to my lack of attentiveness there–    i'm selective about handing it out.    i'm here to have fun and play with my brain worms,    nothing more / nothing less.    if you're here for similar reasons,    we'll get along fine.    <3
