“Well, he was very...”  Netta trailed off, trying to remember which one was dead and which one she was talking too. “Spirited. He was a force to be reckoned with.” She said, partly guessing. “How are your parents? Do they have enough food at home? I could get our chef to drop some round.”

“They wont get the chance.”

“Well, good luck that. At least I have good taste. He’s running around with a Weasley of all things. Al this talk and bitching about blood traitors and he’s fucking around with the spawn of the biggest family of mudblood lovers in the wizarding world.” 

Jackson crossed his arms over his chest, shrugging a shoulder. “Maybe no one on our side killed him and he just randomly died so they claimed him for the publicity of it all. I can’t see how he was useful to the cause.” He rolled his eyes and dropped his arm, “Stupid Gryffindor.”

“That’s true. And she’s not even good looking. And she’s so... Weasley, it’s gross.” Netta said with a roll of her eyes, “Reagan’s hot though and kind of nice though I thought your type was more bitchy based on your exes.”

Netta nodded, “Honestly, that’s probably what happened. They’re so useless, when are they actually going to do something. It’s not like it’s that hard to kill someone or do a little cruciatus curse, what are they waiting for? ANd then if I do anything all I’ll hear is ‘Netta you should have waited, Netta trust the adults’ and crap like that.”

“Sounds ideal,” Ginny smiled softly. “What can I do for you?”

“I’m trying to figure out what I’m going to do next year at Ashworth so I thought I should talk to all the professors, even the ones with fields that I may have not considered.”

“Wow, I never would have guessed.” Netta rolled her eyes, “Why would anyone even want to be a Gryffindor?”

“Oh, right, a Gryffindor, I would have guessed brainless moron.”

“If you’re here for personal reasons, I appreciate your concern but now is not a good time,” Ginny spoke without looking up for the papers she was reading.

“That’s literally the last reason I would ever come here, so if we could leave everything personal at the door, I’d like to receive the same treatment any other potential future student would.”

“Thank you for coming,” Lorcan said softly to the other, keeping his head low. He had just briefly talked with his parents and seeing the look on his mother’s face had only put more salt in the wound he was trying to heal. “He would’ve really appreciated it to know you came here for him.”

“Of course.” Netta replied, “I know we weren’t friends but the Scamanders were a good family and... well, it’s just not fair. It doesn’t make any sense. And if there’s anything I can do, just let me know.”

“Honestly, it was a little bit of rain, did they think they were doing damage at all?” Netta asked with a roll of her eyes. “They’d never take magic away because then they’d just be the muggles they ought to be.”
