Remember to Knock! || Kurtony
Kurt nodded at Antony’s look at involving Blaine and Gage. It would be more of a risk than a benefit. Blaine and Gage were their own team, and Tristan was such a protector to Blaine, it made sense it would cause an issue. Kurt breathed out through his nose at Antony’s blatant rejection to Kurt’s idea, closing his eyes. “We should just… find the orb first before we decide anything for sure. I am just saying, you and Tristan need each other, and I know Finn… If worse came to worse and I chose that, he would get it. It’s a ‘sense of duty’ thing.” Kurt stated, opening the book again. “Besides, he don’t know jack about that thing, even if it exists physically or metaphorically or if it exists at all, so I guess deciding who is a sacrifice and who isn’t was a stupid idea,” Kurt said, eyes scanning the blurry pages of the book. Kurt’s cheeks suddenly turned pink again closing the book. “Now… can you step out so I can get dressed?” Kurt said, motioning to the sheet he was still wrapped in when he tried to cover himself up.
Antony nodded. They hadn’t even found the damn orb yet, but Antony couldn’t help but think ahead especially since it meant risking Tristan’s life. He took a deep breath and sighed. “You’re right. One step at a time. We have to find it first. If it’s still out there.” He scoffed and stood up. “I don’t want to spill any blood. Especially any of our own. That means you too, Kurt. We’ll figure it out. There are so many books here, there has to be something.” Antony bent over and picked up the book. “What? Oh! Yeah, yeah sure.” He said quickly, his cheeks turning red. “Sorry. Yeah. I’ll go. Umm, next time I’ll uhh, I’ll knock.”
Remember to Knock! || Kurtony
“That’s my point. We barely know anything about the orb. In no way do we know what it is able to do.” Kurt sighed and looked at the book. “I know they are different, but how different are they? You behaved just as a demon would, but you could turn it back on.” Kurt hated to say it to Antony’s face, but that was the stone-cold truth of it. “Besides, I was out-of-commission for so long, I don’t know how much you actually learned from texts and how much you were just fed by whoever tortured you,” Kurt said in a quieter tone, wanting to make sure it wasn’t taken the wrong way. He didn’t want to insight doubt, but try to rely on the truth only. Kurt shook his head, and looked at Antony. “All the more reason to get Tristan out when the time comes, if you don’t want to lose him, then he needs to be as far from this orb thing as possible.” Kurt set the book aside, making sure he and Antony were face to face. “I-if it takes magic, then either we get in contact with Gage and Blaine, try and bring them here, or… Or we need to find some way to get this circle off of me, because I don’t want him to try and do this, either. It’s not that I don’t think he can do it, but I, of all people, understand you can’t lose him.” Kurt swallowed hard, looking at the ground. “You can’t tell Finn anything I am about to say. I know I am not much of a fighter. I can be a Watcher, sure, but on my own, I’m not much. But if we can get this circle off of me, and we do find this orb, and it does take as much magic as you say… I bet you can fill in the blank there.”
Antony chewed on his bottom lip thinking back to how he had acted when he had turned off his humanity. He was cruel to everyone and even to Tristan, maybe a little less to Tristan but he was still...evil. Antony could remember all of it. “They’re different.” Antony said. “I had a soul. I still do. We both still do.” Antony ran his hand through his hair. He shook his head at the mention of Gage and Blaine. “No. No we can’t involve Blaine in this. It would be all the more reason for Tristan to sacrifice himself. He’d rather it be his life than his brother’s. And Gage? Well, Blaine would die before Gage did anything like that.” Antony scoffed and leaned back on the bed. “The Anderson have a thing for sacrificing themselves. It’ll be a vicious cycle.” It was starting to feel like they had no other options. Unless some option presented itself once they found the orb, it would have to be one of them. “Kurt. I won’t let it be you, either. We’ll get the circles off or..disrupt the magic somehow so you can go back to be how you were I won’t let you be the one either. You’re important, Kurt. But I don’t think Finn would want you doing this. We’ll...we’ll find a way to make it work without spilling any blood.”
It’s not being selfish to not want me to die, Tony. [He kissed his handsome boyfriend back and gently ran his thumb along his cheek, shaking his head just slightly] Don’t be sorry. After everything we’ve been through, I’d be surprised if you weren’t angry with me for even considering the idea. And I’ll try and find another way. I’m pouring over every possible option before we even consider making a move. I promise you, you’re not going to wake up one night with me suddenly gone and with nothing but a note behind. You’re going to be informed, kept in the loop…everything. I promise.
[Antony smiled at Tristan making sure to keep him close.] I just want us to catch a break. I mean, first I get bit and then I turn off my humanity, you get taken by Athos, and a whole bunch of shit happens and then you get bit. [He sighed.] I want one night where I don’t go to bed afraid that I may wake up back in Hyperion or you might be...dead beside me. And all of these feelings are still so overwhelming after having spent about three months without them. [He laughed uneasily.] Why don’t we take a night, just the two of us and no orb or monsters or anything.
Remember to Knock! || Kurtony
Kurt kept reading the pages, reaching for things that could spell you ‘orb’ or ‘sphere’ or ‘magic’. Anything that could point them in the right direction was useful. “If we find that thing, we could use it for more than just the demons… But I am not sure turning Tristan back will help. If what you say is true, and he did die that night, then it is the werewolf keeping him alive. Take that away and…” Kurt closed the book and looked up, taking Antony’s hand when his emotions started bubbling to the surface. “Listen… You have been through this longer than he has. You need to guide him through this whole thing.” Kurt sighed, shaking his head at the comment of Kurt’s watcher abilities. He thought back to Quinn, how Kurt was her anchor, keeping her sane to the new demon inside, how she still considered him her Watcher… “Maybe… Maybe I am good at what I do, but I can’t do it alone. You are Tristan’s hope in this. Not me, not Finn, you. You have done this werewolf thing longer than him.” Kurt said, swallowing hard. “More than likely in order for Tristan to stay alive, he needs to remain a werewolf. That means, when or if we use this orb thing, he needs to be out of range of it’s affects. You and I both know he won’t go willingly, so…” Kurt motioned to Antony, biting his lip. “You’re going to have to get him out. It is the only way to save him.”
Antony stood up and began to pace back and forth. “It’s not that I want him to be human again.” Antony said, “And it’s not that I don’t. I’m completely okay with us being werewolves for the rest of our lives. It’s manageable and I’m 100% willing to help him through this. It’s just...” Antony sighed and buried his face in his hands for a few seconds. He took a deep breath before he dropped them to his side and looked at Kurt. “From what Finn and Tristan told me about the orb, at least what we know about it or are...assuming about it, the thing restores souls. And hey that’s all fine and well with curing vampires and demons. I’m all for that. But it also means that Tris and I won’t be affected. Because we didn’t lose our souls, we still have those. Humanity and a soul are different.”Antony licked his lips and back to sit beside Kurt again. “So it doesn’t matter how the orb’s powers affect us, because it won’t work. The thing I’m most concerned about is that I’ve heard this things requires magic and shit ton of it. And the only person I know who is strong enough magically to handle it is Tristan. I’m scared that by using this thing, it’s going to require a sacrifice, like drain all of his magic and energy.” Antony took the book back from Kurt and stared helplessly at the ancient language. “I’m trying to find a way to save him while simultaneously saving the rest of the world. I want to find out everything I can about this orb and maybe find another way of activating it that won’t result in the death of my boyfriend.”
Remember to Knock! || Kurtony
Kurt breathed out and watched as Antony reacted to the magic circle on his stomach. Kurt could see the eternal conflict in his eyes, the fear he had there. Kurt knew better than to press for more insight into Antony’s struggle, knowing he probably talked with Tristan about it. Kurt wasn’t needed to pry into business that wasn’t his. Kurt took the book and looked over the lettering. It was old, older than what Kurt what expecting. Kurt breathed out and tried to decipher it, biting his lip. “It could be… Maybe an early form of Iberian. Definitely from that area.” Kurt said, flipping the page to see more of the language. “What exactly are you looking for, then maybe I know what characters I actually should be searching for.” Kurt asked, looking up at Antony, sucking his bottom lip into his mouth. More than likely, this was for the orb, and from the four pages Kurt had seen, nothing spoke of it yet. “Have you shown this to Tristan? He may be able to read it better than me. He is a lot better at this sort of thing than I am.”
Antony nodded and watched as Kurt looked over the pages in the text. “That’s what I figured it might be. But I don’t know how to read it. Latin I can read, but that’s all when it comes to dead languages.” Antony frowned and leaned back on the bed. “I don’t know. I’ve been trying to find anything that relates to that stupid orb. I want us to know everything about it before we go about using it. Well, we have to find it first.” He leaned forward again. “No. He’s sleeping. He hasn’t...” Antony hesitated for a moment. “He hasn’t really been the same since Hyperion. He died.” Antony’s voice cracked a little as the image flashed so vividly in his mind of Tristan laying dead on the floor of the bathroom. “I know it wasn’t for a long time, only for a few minutes but it was long enough. He needs to rest. The last full moon didn’t help matters either. It was his first one and that’s always the roughest. I don’t want to bother him right now with this. And besides, I think you’re just as great, Kurt. You’re a really good watcher.”
Remember to Knock! || Kurtony
Kurt groaned again, hiding his face in his hands. “I-I’m sorry you had to see that,” Kurt said, his head raising when Antony went on to explain himself, to try and assure Kurt that what Kurt was doing was normal. He cringed when Antony mentioned his ex life with Tristan, nodding. “Yeah, you two are… loud most of the time.” Kurt said with a slight laugh, nodding at the recommendation to soundproof the walls blushing a little. That might help Kurt out, too; he wasn’t exactly quiet during his first time with Finn. “M-maybe there is a magic thing for it, like in Harry Potter? I’d try to do it, but…” Kurt motioned to the circle on his stomach binding his magic. The healer that came tried to help, but like his wings, they was unable to remove it. Kurt’s ears perked when Antony mentioned an ancient language, eyes widening in excitement. “Let me see!” he said in a much happier tone than before.
Antony laughed a little. “Yeah, again I apologize about that. Not what we do but that you can hear us. I’m just going to shut up now.” He said with a sigh. “I don’t even think we need magic to sound proof anything.” Antony frowned slightly when Kurt motioned to his stomach. He knew that the healer hadn’t been able to fix the scars on Kurt’s skin. Antony had mental reminders of what was done to him at Hyperion but Kurt had both physical and mental scars. It wasn’t fair, the boy didn’t deserve it. Kurt was the least of them who deserved any kind of cruel treatment. Antony had killed innocent people. He was accepting of what happened and as further self punishment he kept the fact to himself that he constantly had nightmares about his victims. Not to mention the screams that constantly rang in his ears when he was awake. Antony forced a smile as he thought on the people he killed, trying to push the thoughts aside to the matter at hand. He went over to the bed and sat on the edge, opening the book. “It’s like a bunch of chicken scratch to me, but I think it’s like...Iberian or something. That’s my best guess. I came across it once in a book I read back in France but that’s it. I can’t read it but I figured you being a watcher might be more equipped than me, a hunter...and werewolf.” He said with a smirk.

Kurt still didn’t feel like it would be foirgotten. He surely would ponder on it for a few days, and their between them would be awkward based on this. Just as long as the subject never came up again, Kurt would be fine. “Feeling a little ashamed right now, kind of hard not to,” Kurt snapped, rolling his eyes and looking at Antony. Kurt ignored Antony’s request to laugh at this, his eyes searching the floor when a question finally popped into his head. “H-how much did you see?” Kurt asked quietly, biting his lip. He desperately hoped it wasn’t as much as Kurt feared… Then again, he was in front of a mirror when it happened; more than likely Antony saw everything. Most of that everything was for Finn only now, and here Kurt went, getting wreckless and ruining that.
Antony took a deep breath and stared down at the floor for a few moments. He was a little startled at Kurt’s next question. Antony’s cheeks turned a light shade of red and he reached back to rub his neck. “Well...” he began. “Let’s just say I saw enough to know what was going on.” Antony looked back up at Kurt. “But I didn’t like...stare or anything so I didn’t see much for too long.” He stammered just digging himself in further and feeling more embarrassed as he spoke. “Crap.” Antony sighed. “Kurt, it’s not like I’ve never seen another guy naked before. What do you think Tris and I do at night? I mean come on, you can’t tell me you don’t hear us.” Antony paused a moment. There were times where he and Tristan could get loud, especially when Antony let his wolf side take out just a little. He blushed further and laughed nervously. “I think we’ll need to look into sound proofing the rooms...My point is, it’s nothing I haven’t seen and I get that it’s not the point. This isn’t about me it’s about you. Why don’t we talk about something else. Okay? Like I said I have this ancient language in this book I can’t figure out. I thought maybe you’d know where to start.”
Remember to Knock! || Kurtony
Kurt let out a cry of defeat, his shoulders slumping. So it was obvious what Kurt was doing. He groaned and tried to compose himself without much luck. The utter embarrassment of this had him fuming. “I-I’ll just not do it, avoid all of this so then it doesn’t happen again.” Kurt said, removing his hand from his face. “No, I never did it! I-I knew about it, but I just… I never had a reason to.” Kurt admitted, shaking his head. “The only thing I have done is…” Kurt’s voice trailed off, his face going red again when reliving the time with Finn. He swallowed to try and relieve some of the tension now all around his body, but nothing happened. “Please, no talks about this or… that or anything like this ever again, can we just forget this ever happened?” Kurt asked, looking Antony in the eyes. “No, I am not okay, you just walked in on- Oh my God, it wasn’t even just that I was…” Kurt stopped, shaking his head. “I-I’m not going to say it, it’s almost as embarrassing at this,” Kurt stated, walking to the bed and sitting down, placing his head in his hands.
Antony knew it could be embarrassing to have someone walk in or interrupt but he didn’t expect Kurt to take it the way he did. Antony frowned, he chewed on his lip for a moment trying to figure out a way to help Kurt without making it even more awkward than it was. He rubbed the back of his neck. “Okay. No talks.” Antony said. “Promise. We can forget that I ever came in here and we won’t bring it up again in the future. But Kurt, don’t be ashamed of this. It’s absolutely nothing to be ashamed of. I’m saying you shouldn’t try it again.” He shrugged a little and took a step closer. “I’d give you a pat on the back right now, but you’re kinda still not wearing any clothes. You just sort of have a sheet toga.” Antony smirked a little. “Come on, Kurt. Smile. It won’t hurt to laugh at the whole situation.”
Remember to Knock! || Kurtony
Kurt jumped the moment his door opened, his eyes wide in shock. He promptly tried to cover himself, one arm over his crotch, the other over his chest. “I-it’s not what you think!” Kurt gasped, reaching for the sheet on the bed and yanking it off, wrapping it around himself. “I-I was just- I was-” Kurt was beet red, covering his face with his free hand now that he was covered. “I-I’ve never done it before, I just got curious- I’m sorry!” Kurt stammered, his heart pounding in his chest. Kurt moved closer to Antony and tried to push him out. “I-I wasn’t- I didn’t even, I mean-” Kurt stumbled through his words, unsure what else to say. He closed his eyes, and looking down to hide his face. “I-I’m sorry, I swear that will never happen again,” Kurt said in a rushed tone. What better way then to deter himself from ever doing something sexual again then being walked-in on; the very reason Kurt never did it in the first place.
“Really? Cause it looked like it could only be one thing, man.” Antony kept his back turned to Kurt until he heard the boy stammer out apologies and something even more surprising, revealing the fact that Kurt had obviously never masturbated before. Antony’s brow furrowed and he slowly turned checking to make sure Kurt was covered up. “Kurt, calm down.” He said seeing that the other was clearly upset. “I’m just saying, next time you do something like that give a little warning that you might indisposed. Again a sock on the door. That’s all I ask.” Antony stayed in the doorway, the book now tucked under his arm. He watched Kurt for a moment. “So you’ve really never...like ever?” Antony smirked a little. “Come one, every teenage boy has done it at some point.” He sighed realizing the look on Kurt’s face to be one of genuine embarrassment and almost shame. Antony walked in a little further. “I’m not going to give you the birds and the bees talk. I want to trust that you have that much knowledge. Just don’t think it’s anything to be ashamed about. I’m gonna leave it at that,because frankly this is weird. Not what you were doing but that I walked in and now we’re apparently having a discussion about it.” Antony chuckled. He eyed Kurt for a moment, “You okay?”
Remember to Knock! || Kurtony
Kurt laid on his bed in peace, contemplating his trip with Quinn, his recent choices, especially… Finn. Kurt gave his virginity to Finn, and much like his tendencies with drugs, he needed more. If Kurt knew that is what sex was like, he never would have turned to pills. The feeling of being so close and intimate with Finn, the release of it all- Kurt felt actually sexy for the first time in his life… Kurt sat up on his bed, looking in the mirror on his wall. What did Finn see that made Kurt attractive? What did Finn do that made Kurt unravel so much? Kurt stood and walked to the mirror, slowing stripping himself of his clothing and just staring. This is what Finn saw. And Finn liked it. Kurt’s hands shook ans they rose to his hips, following the same path Finn’s had taken, trying to recreate that feeling from before. The pathway Finn’s hands traveled was completely memorized by now, Kurt reliving those minutes together over and over, blushing every time he thought of was around Finn. Kurt’s hands stopped at his ass, Kurt letting out a shaky breath. Kurt was a little turned on, imagining Finn touching him again, Kurt could clearly see that in the mirror. Kurt was then reminded of the time he father tried to give him and Seth the talk… Cautiously, Kurt’s hands went to the front of himself, looking down and staring at his half-hard member. Wondering if he was actually going to do that.
Antony had been spending most of his time desperately searching for another way for them to use this orb...thingy. He knew that if it came down to it, Tristan would be the one stepping up to the plate to sacrifice himself and it was something that Antony couldn’t bare. He was already having constant nightmares about all those people he killed and constantly reminded of how he felt when he turned off all of his humanity, how he wanted Tristan dead. Everything was just too much right now. He needed a break but would he take one? No. Antony rubbed his eyes with the heel of his hand.
Tristan was asleep and for fear of waking him, Antony decided to take his studies elsewhere in the bunker. A few weeks had gone by and on top of the pending war outside their safe haven, Antony was pretty sure they were all dangerously close to cabin fever. He found other places in the bunker to look around and study. The kitchen or a closet. Any place new to keep Antony from dozing off due to monotony. This time he sat on one of the mats in the training room pouring over about half a dozen books. When he reached an old, and probably dead, language he decided to enlist the help of a watcher, someone who might be more equipped or have a better idea where Antony could start looking for some kind of translation.
Again, not wanting to wake Tristan, Antony moved onto Kurt’s room. Without hesitation, Antony pushed open the door looking down at the text. “Hey Kurt, I found this ancient language or something and I was wondering if you knew--” When Antony glanced up it took only a moment to realize what he walked in on. Antony nearly dropped the book and he stumbled back into the door frame quickly turning. “Merde!” He cursed. “Kurt! What the hell, Christ you gotta warn a guy before..merde just...put a sock on the door man. Come on.” Antony’s back was turned to Kurt. He pinched the bridge of his nose unable to get the image of Kurt out of his head.
7 Minutes In Heaven/Fall Out Boy
[Standing in the doorway, Tristan took a deep breath and sighed, folding his arms over his chest] You would do the same too. And yeah…if it came down to it, I’m not worth the lives of millions of people, no matter how much I love you. But I’mm looking for other solutions. You…[Tris swallowed and closed his eyes. He could practically see them having a few kids, traveling, visiting Paris. But he also knew that in this world, it was just a dream] We can’t do any of that if we don’t fix the world.
[Antony walked over to Tristan and took his hand, guiding him to the bed and sat him down] To me you are.. [He said with a sad smile.] I know. I know. I’m being selfish. [He pulled Tristan close to him.] Please, please find another solution. [He begged and wrapped his arms around Tristan.] I’m all for you being a hero though. It’s kinda hot on you. [He smirked and leaned in to kiss Tristan softly.] I’m sorry for losing it a little bit back there.

Antony. [He sighs and closes the book he was reading, pushing up onto his feet and chasing after him as fast as his still recovering body could muster. He manages to catch up just as they pass through the doorway to their bedroom] I’m not going to make any decisions without talking to you guys about them. I don’t want to die, believe it or not. I want to fix this stupid planet. I want to be able to go live in New York with you and write music and shit. Dying wasn’t the plan.
[He stopped as he entered their room and listened to Tristan. He clenched his jaw and turned.] You could have fooled me. [He said bitterly. Antony looked away.] Tris, I know that it’s not a part of the plan but tell me honestly. If it came down to you or thousands of lives, you’d be ready to sacrifice yourself for it all. And I love you for your big heart. But I’m going to be selfish and say that I’d rather have you. If that makes me heartless, cool whatever. But i want all of that stuff too. I want a life with you, outside of all of this. I want us to be a normal...werewolf...couple and who knows start a family or something one day. I want to take you to France, let you see Paris.But I know you. I know you’ll do anything to save this world or to save just one life.
There’s barely any of us left as it is. Most of the planet is Sue’s little army of demonic monsters now. If you can find one witch it’d be a miracle.
Why are we talking about this right now? We don’t have a plan yet.
Maybe we should atleast try.
Because it’s something I think about on a daily basis. I don’t stop thinking about it. But no, yeah we can worry about it when the sacrifice gets closer. Forget it, I shouldn’t have said anything. I’m gonna head off to bed...I’ve...I’ve got a headache..
