Elk flats trail, Oregon. May 2026
Beautiful hine to this scenic overlook. The wildflowers were in bloom. I would've preferred some Sunshine, but this was still pretty cool 😎
God's Thumb trail, Lincoln City Oregon.
I took this photo in December 2021, it was a nice respite from the cold, snowy winter of Central Oregon. I suited up in my Frogg Toggs, packed some water and snacks and headed out. The wind was fierce, and the mud was unforgiving. At this height, one foul step would mean a long, slick slide into the waves below.
Newport Oregon, 2023.
The Yaquina Bay bridge was built in the 1930s, hard to imagine all the rain and wind its endured, not to mention the waves. This was photographed in summer, believe it or not.
Wide open spaces... in Northern Oregon along the John Day River April 2026
Latourell Falls, Oregon. January 2026.
January 2026, I hiked around Silver Falls and got a few nice photos of the roaring Cascades. I love this place, and always feel drawn to it on those drizzly, dreary days. The first photo was taken at the far end of Suttle Lake the same day.
A couple summers back we took a trip around the Yucatan peninsula. From beaches to jungles and small cities to mega urban centers; there was so much to see. Ill add more photos of the trip eventually.
While rockhounding i got to see a few Ochoco wild horses. They were beautiful! Just hanging out near a water hole. I spooked the others, but these two were calm and didnt mind me staying nearby.
December 2024, Cape Disappointment Washington.
I took this photo early in the morning. Shortly after, we hiked up to the lighthouse and spent the morning thankful for the good winter weather. Sunshine is never guaranteed, much less so whilst bouncing around the PNW.
Mt Jefferson Wilderness, Oregon. November 2020.
We hiked up the Canyon Creek Meadow trail and found ourselves looking upward at the 2,000ft tall sheer volcanic face. The morning sun lit up the craggy canvas; giving us a clear view of what laid ahead.
Springtime in the desert can be illusory; Monday's clouds can break into Sunshine that washes the winters' dreary drab far back into distant memory.
