#This has been my laptop background for like a decade now #It's one of those specific pieces of art that I love #That I should think of when I see the Instagram videos asking 'if you could own any piece of art in the world what would it be and why'#One of the first pieces of art that I remember being like 'oooh this!' about #But I guess because I glance at it everyday I stopped appreciating it #Not sure why that suddenly changed today #But I kinda really want to go see it again #Or seek out more pieces by this artist #As an art scavenger hunt?

I am so freaking excited for my trip to pdx next week. It's just the same little long-weekend trip I've taken three times before. I'm going to do all of the same shit I always do, none of it that different from what I'd do if I was at home. But every time I remember that I'm going, I feel my chest swell and my eyes light up. A part of my brain starts jumping up and down and doing grabby hands at the idea of being there.

I can't remember the last thing I felt genuinely excited about. Usually, any joy of anticipation gets drowned in a maelstrom of anxiety and pessimism and perfectionism. I'm honest-to-god hyped about this trip, though!
