also it’s not new thing, making american version from stories around the world… There were few sweedish films I think got remakes in USA, there was some samurai movie who got turned into western I heard once about… USA doeas that all the time, and all that matters is if the movie is good in the end. I’m really excited for one reason - to see Ryuk made by americans. Japan and USA have very different approach to this things and I’m hyped. Loved the Japan Live action movies, had a crush on actor that played L for a year… Treat it as WHAT IF… scenario WHAT IF the story happend in USA not Japan…
