this little facial expression from Alberto has definitely got to be one of my favorites because not only is this one of his only “soft” faces that is directed specifically at Giulia, but it’s from the middle of his jealousy arc. Even though he was angry and hurting, he was still her friend. He still enjoyed being her friend, and it’s just so cute.

why do I feel like Pixar movies are starting to become predictable? when I watched hoppers, I said “the grandma is gonna die” and GUESS WHAT. I think this is Pixar’s formula:

sad prologue + fun protagonist to root for + conflict is getting solved but something goes wrong in the middle of the plan + sad scene that everyone is supposed to relate to + happy ending

No, but seriously… why is the prose so good? Kids-friendly, of course, nothing “too much”, but at the same time Luca's POV is so fun and deep to read. He's always been a deep-thinking boy, indeed? ;) It makes you see the movie in a completely new way.
