“There was a time when I thought I could never feel happiness again. Then you had to go and prove me wrong.”

So here I was, thinking that My Time at Sandrock was gonna be a cozy little building sim, where I collect resources, build a home, and maybe marry an NPC with a few cute lines.

I don’t want to spoil anything for anyone who might play it, but when I tell you I was invested in this game’s plot, I was INVESTED.

Romance. Political Drama. Environmental Impact. Townspeople with intricate lives. BETRAYAL— all wrapped up in a post-apocalyptic world filled with mutated creatures and deep unexplored ruins.

I can honestly say that this is my top 2 game I’ve played this year (Mass Effect wins the number 1 slot). The game came out in 2022, and it’s actually a sequel to My Time at Portia, which I have not played yet but will… eventually. Those two and the upcoming My Time at Evershire are all made by @patheagames

My Time at Sandrock is such a fuckin phenomenal RPG that NO ONE has played because it looks like an awful stardew valley “cozy game” clone. But I think about the intense 100+ hour plot, the twists and turns in the story that GENUINELY shocked me, the depth of the characters, the expansive romances with multiple questlines, the post-apocalyptic environmental storytelling… oh Sandrock you are SO underappreciated

100% My Time at Evershine is going to blow up when it releases, watch for it
