Will Byers, the sorcerer
it feels like everybody kind of moved on already from byler and tbh i dont think i ever will
they were warning us that was a warning
also why are people not realizing that snl is mocking bylers (specifically the ones who write fanfics) with the heated wizardry bit
queer people will never be a fucking joke and something as personal as coming out is should never be made fun of
idk man it just really feels like will's sexuality has been mistreated by everyone. The Duffers, the wider audience, the fandom and the subfandom and even people who only have a passing knowledge of the show. It's so tiring and disheartening
Finn wolfhard you are NOT being reincarnated into a lotus flower.
but in all seriousness, this SNL was so disappointing (as was the rest of stranger things). Just because SNL is known to have made misogynistic jokes before (e.g, making fun of Aimee Lee Woods’ appearance for one) doesn’t make any of this okay. And the fact that the cast were, seemingly, so comfortable with going along with such a script is so sad :(
Stranger things is starting to feel like a show that I never even knew about in the first place
why were literally all of finn’s skits gay as hell 😭
finn wolfhard on all fours is something i never thought i would see…
this is so unfunny 😔
Noah Schnapp attends the Ralph Lauren Men’s Fall/Winter 2026 show at Milan Fashion Week.
I just remembered when Noah Schnapp was asked, "What's your reaction to everyone wanting Will and Mike to be together?". And then he answered that he had personally dealt with being in love with his best friend without it being reciprocated. (But I didn't fully understand did he mean real life or the show?)
Because if he meant real life, then JUST IMAGINE how it must have felt for him to go through that again, but this time through the character he's lived as for all these 10 years. I think Noah believed until the very end that Byler would become endgame, but unfortunately, that didn't happen.
Damn, that hurts so much.
Imagine dissociating for 12hrs for a coming out scene that is never to be mentioned or relevant to plot ever again, imagine thinking of the queer coding between two main characters, imagine reading the finale script and not having a single convo with mike, imagine asking writers to write a closure between them because you understand your own character (and even the audience) better than the writers, imagine getting slapped with the most disgusting, awful dialogue ever even though it could've gone any different way.
I don't care much about actors and their real life but man did they put Noah through extreme humiliation. Especially when he is playing a character who is gay when he himself is gay and has faced the backlash of homophobia after coming out.
bro every time someone asks st's creators or cast about conformitygate and the cast shuts it down (peep this) they always say "omggg it shows how much the fans loved the show".
GIRL NO ITS BECAUSE WE COULDNT BELIEVE HOW SHIT IT ALL WAS
my epilogue
this is going to be diabolical isn't it
Watching this video and him getting more and more disappointed as the episode goes on is chilling me ngl. This is the version of the script that didn't even have the tower scene in it btw, so this is him as a queer actor realising that they gave his character absolutely no closure and a shitty arc where he "realises" that the love of his life was just a crush to get over in a day without anything from said crush to determine if he's fine with that. He's been the *gay consultant* for the show since the beginning and he was so excited to read the script for episode 4 when he had powers, he probably was excited to see where his characters' powers took the character arc but no, they really just gave him nothing in this episode and the fact he was terrified to go up to the Duffers and ask for a little scene change speaks volumes.
