The Art of Destuction
Cool breakdown shot of 3 CG walls being blown to bits!
I Need to learn how to make some sweet flume FX in C4D.
This is a photo that show the size relation between shooting sizes. The biggest resolution that is possible to shoot so far is 28K which is 28,000 by 9334.
The Hobbit Behind the Scenes
The Hobbit is going to be shot in 5K, 3D, and is going to be shot at 48 frames per second which is going to give it this weird almost real-life feeling to the movie. You will only be able to see it at 48 FPS at the movie theaters. When you buy it when it comes out most people will then watch it at 24 FPS(the usual rate film is shot on), but most 3D TV's and new High refresh rate(Htz) TV's will be able to see it at 48 FPS.
I dont know what 48 frames per second looks like, i've seen those new tv's that can show more frame rates and it looks good for sports but I've always loved the 24FPS and the look of the motion blur, with more frame their is less motion blur.
What are your thoughts on 48 FPS?
Prometheus
Flawless Visual effects, perfect compositing of elements, and that classic retro Alien look. You just can't find that now a days.
Love whom ever composited this shot, way better than the football field crumbling. better match lighting and motion blur. The other one looks too video game-ish to me. In the Dark knight rises it looks like they used action essentials over and over, but in Prometheus each ground impact was specificaly rendered with its own unique FlumeFX.
Snow White and the Huntsman
Everything I read about this film says no no no, guy from Thor, didn't like, Producer of Alice in wonderland(hated that show), and yet from seeing this trailer I really want to see this film.
A very cool Breakdown of X-Men First Class by MPC
A flying ship following the Tumbler!!!!!
What is this flying contraption?? Let's see here a flying futuristic ship following a tumbler, not the bat-mobile because of the paint job, so most likely it is the batman's. Hmmmmmmmm.
Leave a reply on what you think it is or whom you think it belongs to.
The Hobbit
Not alot of action in the trailer but if it's anything like the LOTR trilogy I'll love it. I'm hoping for alot of battle scenes, comment if you've read the book, I wanna know.
A MUST-SEE Short Film!!!
What's your thoughts on this.
This is a picture from The Dark Knight Rises. The one thing I really loved about Christopher Nolan's Inception was that most of the Effects were in most part practical effects. Don't get me wrong I really like the clip, but it's sort of been over done in a movie ...2012..... all and all I'm still dying to see it!!!
The Dark Knight Rises looks like a hit!
Do you think that the tumble is real? And Christopher Nolan Would blow one up or is it CG?
My breakdown: both the tumbler and the larger vehicle look real to me, the larger truck is illuminated by the explosion very well but the building behind nor the street light is illuminated. how is this possible if the truck and tumbler is real? I think they had very powerfull cables and a bright light off in the distance lifting the tumbler and illuminating the street. Plus to me on this frame the bottom of the explosion does't look quit right, and a couple frames later the flames under the tumbler don't seem to be affected by the wind and turbulence caused by the vehicles movement.
But I could be wrong and it just looks that way. Tell me your thought of how this VFX could be executed and what's real and whats a post effect.
AND SO IT BEGINS
