Two player game, seven dominoes
3/4 player game, five dominoes
Keep dominoes in front of you but hidden from opponents
The player with the highest double places that on the table to start the game (2/2, 3/3, 4/4, 5/5, 6/6)
The winner starts the next round (in a group, play proceeds clockwise)
Place a matching domino to any of the four exposed ends of the initial double (this is called the spinner)
Doubles are played perpendicular to others when played (T shape)
There may be right angles if you run out space on the table (make L shape)
If you can’t match one of yours to one on the table, you must pick up from the ‘boneyard’ until you get a playable domino. If they pick up all of the boneyard and still can’t play, they have to pass their go.
(You can only join short end to short end, apart from if the tile is a double like 1/1 when you can join a matching short end to a long side in a T shape)
