Written for the Saiyuki Month Challenge - June 2022 (Prompt Week 2, June 8-14, One word: Neon).
In Hong Kong's sunset years, everyone has their problem - and price. Samuel Yuen wants to keep his late master's sign-making workshop, despite dwindling business. Siu-hung is willing to do anything to get his fix of Double Big Mac (or even better, char siu buns). Henry Chow manages to foot the bill for his ailing sister's treatment, but all is not well at his slick advertising agency, despite the glitters on the glass tables. Jamie Tse, well, his is a simple lot - he only wants to keep Henry happy.
After one particularly long day, Samuel trudged wearily back to his home, which also happened to be his workshop. He found his late Master's former protege, Kenny Ngai, perched upon his favorite stool. Before he could kick him out, Kenny made Samuel an offer he could not refuse.
