Despite being a big grump pot, lieutenant’s actually a big softie for Christmas. He’ll pretty much sing carols down the street, and is just so gosh darn happy.

Im new here and i wanted to know what all the colors mean for lieutenant?? The colors change on his neck i noticed.

I’m glad you’re interested! Well, they’re thermodynamic LED plating! They change colors depending on his body temperature and chemical composites.

How it works is when he has an emotion, (like anyone else) has an increase of certain chemicals. For example, when he’s angry, he attains a surplus of adrenaline and norepinephrine, along with other chemicals associated to the emotion. Then, those chemicals are translated by the hypodermal plating technology into code, that’s readable by the programming. Then, depending on the chemical, the program will translate it to a corresponding color, that was previously set into the system. It’ll then just light up those particular colors, onto the plating! 

As for the colors, their pretty straight forward. Red is rage, blue is sadness, pink is love/lust/infatuation, etc. Of course, he can show multiple colors at once, depending on the chemicals that are present. Light intensity immediately reciprocates chemical presence. Other cases of colors can depend on sensory situations; if there’s a sensory overload, most predominantly optically, it’ll sometimes just mimic his senses. 

Hopefully that’s not too drawn out or boring, and I hope it explains it!
