Caleb is my favourite premade sim, so I had to make him my current sim's third husband.
My sim's other daughter! She's an absolute cutie too. I don't know why they're both dark haired despite her being blonde though.
She grew up into a teenager! She's still beautiful, and I didn't change a thing about her except her hair, makeup and clothes. Her genetics were top tier.
She is quite literally the prettiest sim that has ever been born naturally in my game. Most of my toddlers look a little bit like gremlins but not her.
I know I should edit it so his head isn't being stretch by the chest but... it feels so right.
What do you think their first dance song would be?
Introducing Mr. and Mrs. Ha. 🥲
Emily knows how to steal the show with her yellow/gold dress. She rocks it.
I didn't realise how big the Jazz Cats paintings were, but I'm proud with how these turned out. I preferred the gold frame so that's what I went with, but I'm going to create new ones with the smaller photos. Definitely going to override the Jazz Cats with different photos now that I've got the PSD of the frame ready.
If anyone wants me to create some paintings with the game frames for their own sims, let me know and I'll do it!
They're getting married. Power couple in the making.
Pansexual King and Queen of Newcrest, everybody!
Sometimes I procrastinate going into the game for no reason whatsoever and get myself into projects I'm probably never going to finish. The current project is a Notion database for all the collectibles in The Sims 4, including mods, that can be duplicated so others can fill it out!
It's not duplicatable just yet because I haven't finished it but when it's done, it'll be available to be used as a template. You can take a look at it so far here.
Who else is semi-excited about the March 2024 early release of Life by You? I know it sounds like a Black Mirror episode title but damn, it's about time The Sims had a competitor, even if it is from a well-known game development company.
Gives me TS3 vibes though which is good for those who like TS3's aesthetic but I much prefer the cartoony graphics of TS4. It's a shame the company couldn't have joined forces with Alex Masse (?) on the Paralives project. Big bucks from a company plus the aesthetics, style and mechanics of Paralives? Unstoppable.
I can't stop making new households and saves. Please help.
Hate it when the horses do this every five seconds.
Mortimer doesn't like family portraits, not after all those years he had to endure them as a child, but he'd do anything for Bela. His only condition is that they don't wear formal. Bela can live with that.
Unfortunately for them, this is the last family portrait they'll take with Bela. He goes missing not long after and Cassandra speculates that might be the reason why he was so adamant they did it in the first place.
Ciao Bello! He hates those earrings and their matching necklace, but they were a gift from Mortimer and the task is too important for some stupid earthly jewellery to jeopardise.
That's what Bela tells himself, anyway.
I have headcanons for these two (and their kids) but I can't keep them inside my head. There's more but this is as far as I can get with organising them at the moment. Buckle up.
Mortimer grew up in your run-of-the-mill wealthy household, coupled with the family being one of the biggest influences of the town. If something happened to one of them, the whole town knew and would be talking about it for weeks. So they painted the picture of a perfect family.
Truth be told, they weren't. Mortimer's mother was an alcoholic, his father was having an affair with his secretary, and his older brother was getting caught up in a cult from Forgotten Hollow.
Mortimer, being the youngest, was often ignored. That was until his older brother made a permanent move to Forgotten Hollow and dropped contact with the family.
Suddenly poor ol' Mortimer was centre of his parents' world, and all the expectations that came with it piled on top of him. Do what they say or risk going the way of his older sister - wherever she is.
The stars always facinated Mortimer though. He'd find himself sneaking onto the first floor balcony just to gaze at them until sunrise.
Then came along Bela - beautiful, otherworldly, indescribable Bela.
It's his father's coworker from the lab's dinner party, and he's been dragged along to show his face as the next generation of Goths. His parents are boasting about his achievements, but skip the parts where they sneer at his eccentricity.
He slips away to use the bathroom and on his way back he bumps into him, though it seems more like Bela was waiting to corner him.
He's significantly shorter than Mortimer, but there's something about his man-eating smile that makes his heart thunder against his chest.
Mortimer takes Bela everywhere with him after that night, and Bela enthusiastically obliges. Restaurants, business trips (well, his father's business trips he forces onto him), parties - you name it and Bela is his plus one, whether he's given one or not.
It was a no-brainer for Mortimer to decide whether to propose or not. The hardest decision was where.
Mortimer's friends have never heard of Bela before, and neither had his father's coworkers until that night at the dinner party. Mortimer doesn't care, but his friends are suspicious as to how Bela had been invited if no one knew him.
Strange things happen in Strangerville, that's Mortimer's answer. It must've been fate.
They marry and move to Willow Creek, much to Bela's upset, but he notices how much happiness being away from his parents brings Mortimer and he can't argue. It's not like they can't find him in Willow Creek. - Bela's friends, that is.
Mortimer hasn't met Bela's friends before, but that's fine by him. Bela deserves a life outside of their relationship, and he doesn't want to intrude unless he's invited.
Cassandra is born not long after they marry, and Mortimer is terrified. He doesn't tell his parents. He hasn't spoken to them since the day they moved.
Bela is less scared. It's just a smaller version of himself, it's no big deal. He's survived this far so he's confident he can help Cassandra survive too.
The first time Mortimer gets even an inkling that something isn't quite right with Bela is when he notices he's not aging the same way he is. Then he brings it up, and the next morning Bela looks slightly different. He assumes he's just blinded by his beauty and doesn't notice him aging.
Mortimer is Cassandra's favourite as a child. He's trying so hard to be the opposite of what his parents were he becomes a bit of a push over, and what child doesn't like a push over?
Alexander comes along and that's when Bela gets nervous. He's getting way too deep into this and he's feeling suffocated, but he loves his kids too much to just leave.
He likes Mortimer too, of course... Okay, maybe he loves him. Who knows.
Mortimer is ecstatic! Honestly, because of his upbringing and the money they have, he'd have as many kids as Bela is comfortable having. Adoption is an option too, if Bela wanted more without carrying them.
Toddler Cassandra isn't too keen on the new baby.
Days after Cassandra's 16th birthday, Bela goes missing. Mortimer swears he was abducted, but no one believes him. After all, maybe he just can't come to terms with the fact that Bela had been suspicious from the beginning.
