This is a photo of my dad’s eyes. My dad’s eyes represent a recessive phenotype. A recessive phenotype is a trait that is less dominant compared to others, for a recessive trait to appear, the orgainism would need both parents to pass on the gene to avoid a more dominant gene overpowering it. in contrast, a dominant eye color, like brown, would appear even if there was another eye color was oassed by the other parent. My dad’s eyes represent a recessive phenotype because neither of his parents had blue eyes, yet they both passed on their recessive traits to him, making his eyes blue.
