MOTHER IS NOW AT mother302!!!

"Leslie with— thank you Mother!" It didn’t take long before he buried his face into the cup of cocoa once more. He had his cocoa and his music. All was right with the world. “Mother— can…. Leslie ask you a question…?” It may have been a bit forward, but it was something that tugged at his thoughts. “Is this— Leslie’s home?”
Oh, how Mother almost clapped with joy! She knew the Pale Child was not truly Her Child, not the First nor the Second, not Her Only Daughter, but still...If the Pale Child wanted Mother to be home, then Mother was Home.
"Of course! This is Leslie's home," Mother said, beaming, only slightly stumbling over the name as she spoke. "Leslie is always welcome here."
Giddy, Mother began to think of changes the Pale Child would bring if he stayed with her, and the changes she'd have to make.
!!
He glanced up at the ceiling fan, noting its movement and the radio. Clockwork, he thought to himself. He rubbed his temples, then he heard something from the laundry room. He stared at the door a moment, before leaving the couch to investigate it.
Mother did not follow, knowing that he would find the ironing board collapsed against the wall, and instead focused her attention to the taps.
One by one, the kitchen sink, the bathroom sink, and the tub faucet began to drip, beating out a kind of rhythm.
"Pest, oh Pest, what do you see in there?" Mother sang, giggling again.
Entering the living room, he noted the dust was disturbed again-that and someone had turned the radio on. He was no longer under the impression this place had rats. Instead, he searched his apartment for an intruder, and checked that his front door had been locked. He searched the laundry room, the bathroom, and then the door before settling on a couch in the living area.
"Silly Pest, of course the door is locked! Do you think Mother would leave it open?"
Mother clicked the lock again, and sealed the door shut. She would mess with her Pest, but she wasn't about to let him leave her. Not yet.
Watching as he scurried, Mother giggled. How silly he looked! Did he think someone was there with him, someone other than Mother?
"It's just you and Mother, Pest. She will make sure no one comes in, uninvited." She crooned as he settled on her couch.
With a flick of her wrist, the ceiling fan started to slowly turn. The radio turned up. Something in the laundry room fell over.

"Yes! Leslie likes it very much!" Anything to take away from any form of silence made him smile. When someone like this was willing to settle down with him and entertain his whims for a little bit was always good. Leslie rarely met people who were so giving and patient with him.
Mother beamed. Oh, how glad she was that she'd been able to make a good drink for the Pale Child, that she was able to give him something other than dratted static to hear!
"Good, good...Mother is pleased."
Closing her eyes, Mother hummed along with whatever was playing on the radio, before-
"Hmmm if the Pale Child needs anything else, you can ask Mother, hm?"
The sudden and loud noise cause the doctor to shoot up, awake. He cursed and rubbed his eyes. He switched on the lamp and went to invesitgate the sound outside of the bedroom.
Mother had intended to wait, to see if Her Pest would be in a better mood come morning, but the urge was too great.
All it took was a few seconds, before Mother approached the television, and rapped on it with her knuckles.
"Static tonight," she hummed, before she flicked the knob that turned it on.
The static was deafening, and Mother shut it off only moments later. She didn't want Her Pest to be removed already, after all!
Waiting for him to enter Her Living Room, Mother turned on the radio, leaving it to some talk show as dust whirled around the room.

Such an insignificant request. Something seemingly so important in a life outside of this place, but within it were souls lost. Nameless to the Outsiders. But she held no discrepancy with the manifestation and merely lifted her chin back to look at the female before her, words shifting to a tone of indifference as opposed to sheer distaste. “I am known by several things.. Witch.. Demon.. The title most commonly referred to is Alessa. It is questionable whether or not your First Visitor will recognize me.”
"First Visitor? Oh no no, Mother will not speak of you to her First Visitor. He is no longer within Mother's grasp, so why should she speak of you to him? No, no...Mother will tell her First Child of one named..."
Mother paused, a displeased look on her face, as though she'd eaten something sour like a spiders web or green dryer lint.
"...Alessa. Uhg, oh now Mother detests names...Mother will tell him of the Rude Visitor, Alessa, and that will be that."
With a sniff, Mother turned to leave, back to Her Kitchen.
"If you visit again, Rude Visitor, Mother would not mind."

Black eyes left not the being before her—the manifestation.
It was curious to see those forged from another’s whim, those not under her command. But it was also dangerous. Even to her the place held a certain lure as though calling her to simply take a rest.
"You hold no significance to me,
nor shall I discuss matters of such a delicate nature with you.”
"No? Oh Visitor, you make Mother weep," Covering her eyes with her hands, Mother smiled.
"But if you will not stay...Mother will not hold you. Mother knows oh so much how her Visitors dislike that." She rolled her eyes, and waved a hand, dismissively. "But tell Mother this...what is your....name, so she may tell her First Child you called, when she sees him once more?"
