A few Christmas Day details✨ Thankfully Micah and I had thrifted a lot of Christmas tree fillers so we ended up having enough for both trees ( at least the sides of the tree you can see 😆) and I was gifted adorable mushie and woodland ornaments from my friends @angelaalba_ and @carlyliana 💫 I’m so happy we get to start building up our holiday decor items. Finally potting up this gorgeous Florida beauty. It’s been on my wishlist for such a long time and I finally found one priced so well for the size and variegation. I’ve been lucky that the plants have been doing well, even withstanding my neglect. The moment I took the time to be with my plants I instantly felt more relaxed. I wish I could wear this dress everyday 💐 It was so hard finding what I wanted to wear. I originally thought white but I wasn’t finding anything that was making me excited. On top of that, it is very difficult finding anything plus sized and especially for special events that doesn’t feel dated. If you would have asked me my dream proposal situation I wouldn’t have had the answer until now. Micah planned out the perfect proposal for me and I’m still in awe of everything he did 💛 He had some help from the amazing coordinators over at @nybg and planned a fake event for me to attend that day! When I received the email about the event, which I thought was a normal thing, I totally dodged it and was ready to decline because Micah and I had been doing so much and I didn’t want to ask him to drive so far 🤭After 3 days of not bringing up the email, Micah had to bring in reinforcements! That’s when @welcometothejunglehome texted me asking about the “event” and proceeded to sell it from there. Again, a totally normal thing as we’ve planned going to events together when they pop up! I ended up finally asking Micah if he wanted to go, and now looking back, he was very quick to say yes! Haha 😂 The day of the event came and I still had no clue what was happening and really thought I was still attending a a @nybg event. I was taking my time getting ready that day and of course made us super late! I would be late to my own engagement lol!!Phoebe (@welcometothejunglehome ) continued to sell the lies by sending pics of what she and her bf were wearing and pretending like they were there waiting for us in the rock garden. When we finally got there, we walked towards the rock garden, a section I never visited. I was calling out to Phoebe, because naturally I didn’t want to walk far and I was in high wedge shoes lol! I was asked by @oprahdaily to talk about what makes a house a home. It’s so funny how relevant it was/is to my current situation because we had just moved and are still very much trying to settle in. One of my fears moving and leaving our apartment was the fear of feeling unsettled and not at home. Quickly, those feelings of doubt went away once we starting staying in the house and I was able to slowly begin moving in my plants, crystals and, eventually, Pachino and Zeus! The it happened, I felt the shift change and I began feeling the spark of happiness and the feeling of being at home 🏠 Thank you @oprahdaily for including me in this amazing round up!
