Rare Victorian Mining Brooches
Extraordinary novelty brooches from the mid 19th Century. When new mines were opened to the public in the 19th Century, souvenirs were often sold to commemorate these visits. These rare artifacts of these visits were sold as expensive souvenirs and are set in gold with the various gems and ores mined at those locations. The gold and silver ore brooch has a double glass vial with gold terminals is likely American in origin. The opal chips floating in liquid glass vial is also capped in gold terminals. Origin probably Australia.
Twinned pyrite cubes.

After surveying the overall damage of the room - from a broken table to more food on the floor than Imladris had seen in many a century, Elrond was forced to incline his head to the steadfast young dwarf that had lingered long enough to be caught in the mess. “Oh, aye,” He agreed simply, “I’ve seen far worse in my day. I trust this is all the result of revel, and that nobody was hurt in a brawl?” Best of course to cover all bases, to be sure.
Had he honestly meant to get caught in the middle of it all? Well, no. In fact, quite the opposite. The rest of them were off...grabbing as much as they could shove in their packs, he figured, and here he was tryin’ to find his carving knife, since apparently someone’d considered it a grand laugh to hide it away. So instead he shifts from one foot to the next, gives a glance toward the table that he had more than a slight hand in breaking, and chuckles a bit. “Nothin’ more hurt than pride, I assure you.” He finally replies, “well, an’ the table. Think that’s obvious...eh. Sorry ‘bout that.” Bofur stops himself, hand at the back of his neck as he ceases a ramble in it’s making. Hardly knew what to expect from their host after all- and hadn’t they been wonderful company so far.. Course he wouldn’t have given a damn if he hadn’t been the one standing here but...welp.
{ outoftune: Gosh my dash has been dead lately. Where you all at, dears? Come say hi : ) }
