Interesting thing; I felt I actually LIKED this Senketsu more. In this moment at least. He seemed much more demonic and dark in the original scene; here, he’s actually desperate, sympathetic. Sounds to me like he could have some good life.

i think that the original wasn't really demonic or dark, just lower and a bit more monotone/logical/nonhuman? that's how i felt anyway. that's kinda how he is. senketsu doesn't understand people. it also makes it funnier during senketsu's dork moments because let's be real he's a huge anime nerd.

it's all a matter of personal taste, though! i am very picky about dubs

Elite four are all spot on. Satsuki could be reasonable; it's either way at this point. Someone commented "ryuko sounds like rainbow dash" and I think that's pretty accurate. Senketsu is... not bad voice-wise, but also not senketsu.

All in all, 7/10 so far, better than expected but not expecting anything special.

Can't wait to see how disappointed I will be in Ragyo after I've been spoiled by having her japanese VA be Romi Park, my favorite seiyuu of all time
