Dynasty Cycle Event Kickstarter (2/3)

((Yep. As y’all know, QinShiHuang died at some point… possibly due to excessive doses of mercury cuz the dude wanted to be immortal. 

Jokes aside though, QinShiHuang died on 210 BC when he was chilling at a prefecture away from the capital, Xianyang. His prime minister, Li Si, was so afraid that the news of the Emperor’s death would immediately kickstart a peasant revolt (since QinShiHuang seriously sucked) and their dynasty would be overthrown, he decided to hide the news that the emperor is dead from literally every except for a few close servants as they made their way back to Xianyang. 

It’s worth mentioning that when the emperor died, it was like during summer, and they have to travel for 2 months straight in order to get back to the capital. So they did some very… I don’t wanna say dumb cuz they’re actually pretty clever, stuff in order to cover up the Emperor’s decomposing body and the smell that came with it. Like they literally carried carriages full of rotten fish before and after the wagon that the emperor was supposed to be on lmao. It was… certainly something.

2 months later, the group arrived at Xianyang. The death of the emperor was announced and his eldest son Fusu was coronated as the emperor, who later became known as QinErShi which basically translate to “the second king of Qin.” 

Fusu is like hella dumb when compared to his dad lmao, but I’ll get into how his incompetence and cruelty led to the eventual fall of Qin in the next kickstart post :))

EDIT: uhhhh guys I just realized that QinErShi was actually the title given to Fusu’s younger brother, HuHai, who succeeded the throne after Fusu committed suicide, sorry!!
