Chapter 1: When in Natlan
You do as the Natlanese do.
Which is fight as hard as you can to win.
“Wow,” breathed the Traveller. “I just beat a local legend.” She announced as she wiped the sweat off her face.
Paimon, ever so amazed at the woman before her, cheered.
“And you didn’t even flinch for a second! It was like…” She flips, chimes of sparkles resonating as she makes the move. “Woosh! and woah! And.. it was so mesmerizing! Like a cocktail of hydro, electro, and pyro!”
The Traveller turns around. Her tan skin glistens from the sweat from the fight.
Of course, the girl’s seen worse. Just a few weeks ago she participated in a gruelling war against the Abyss. And just recently she came across multiple obsidian totems that took her to the Night Kingdom, where she gets a half a history lesson, and half kicking ass.
Nothing can beat her now.
Well, nothing really has.
“I can’t do this anymore, Paimon.” The girl paces and then runs to the nearest teleport waypoint, her fingers making contact with the cool surface before visualizing the Stadium of the Sacred Flame.
Lo and behold, she materializes in one of the most densely populated areas in Natlan.

Its liveliness rivals that of the Grand Bazaar back in Sumeru, and even the Opera Epiclesse where Lyney and Lynette held their magic shows. It was a polyphony of action and a culture that refused to be colonized by an oppressive darkness.
“OOH! Paimon’s gonna guess what your next move is. Hmm…” She puts a finger to her chin. “Taking up commissions? Wait. No. You already did them today. Finding artifacts for Master Jean? No… no…”
She sits down at the entrance of the Weary Inn and immediately starts ordering lunch. She stares at her cup, looking at her reflection. Her dark hair faded out into a nice golden colour at the ends, and her eyes looked like the sun’s reflection after a beautiful day lounging with the People of the Springs. She looked idyllic and beautiful, but the ones closest to her knew better. She carried a lot. Missing her brother Aether. Very confused as to why people around Teyvat are treating her that way.
“Traveller?”
“Huh?”
“I worry for you sometimes…”
She turns to look at Paimon as the sounds of a few plates being set down lay ignored.
“We fought in a war. You witnessed so much that ordinary outsiders aren’t able to witness. How can you even carry all that? Also? Paimon realizes how important the traditions are to the Natlanese…”
“Honestly,” The Traveller trails off. “That’s why I need a break. I asked Mauvika if I could put the teapot in her office. She was fine with it. We need teapot time with Traveller’s friends.”
She begins listing them off. “Amber, Kaeya, Lisa, Sucrose, Fischl, Bennett, Razor, Noelle, Barbara, Xiangling, Ningguang, Beidou, Xingqiu, Chongyun, AAND we’re starting to get close with Jean.”
The two finish their food and head over to the Speaker’s Chamber, where Traveller and Paimon are subsequently transported to the teapot.

Traveller wishes she didn’t have to explore Ochkanatlan for the Adventurer’s guild. But she’s paid handsomely. And she’ll be able to give back to the community and the people who have been so hospitable to her.

it is a universal belief that each element rules over one of the days of the week. when a child is born, some cultures in teyvat take that as a superstition on the child’s temperament. here. i’m deciding elements based on planetary ruler:
Sunday, ruled by the sun: Anemo. Children said to be born on this day are easygoing and always full of joy and happiness. Said to live a simple life.
Monday, ruled by moon: Electro. Can be stubborn, and will always be consistent no matter what they do. They are very emotionally attached to things and are not appreciative of change.
Tuesday, ruled by mars: Pyro. Competitive, and a little bit of a temper. Tend to be very passionate about things and might have a tendency to get into conflicts.
Wednesday, ruled by mercury: Dendro. Curiosity and a passion for wisdom and learning. Children born on this day are said to be incredibly smart.
Thursday, ruled by jupiter: Hydro. Mediators. Peacemakers. These people truly value fairness and honesty above all. A thursday-born teyvatian is supposedly terrible at lying.
Friday, ruled by venus: Cryo. These children are said to be sappy and loving, and tend to lead with their hearts. They are full of empathy.
Saturday, ruled by saturn: Geo. Children here are supposedly amazing at delegation and business. They are consistent when deals and promises are made and are incredibly trustworthy. They are serious about anything and everything they do.
