curiosity kissed the cat; hyuk & soojung
soojung often wonders how or why humans like to touch each other so much. it’s one thing to enjoy touching yourself (and by that she means, of course, brushing your own hair and things of the sort—she’s an innocent soul, mind you); actually reaching out to get contamined by someone else’s germs doesn’t seem like an enjoyable activity. she’d heard many testimonies, of course, but none had ever sparked her interest. words tend to not stick around for long in her mind anyway.
images, on the other hand, stay for much longer.
they think they’re so clever, hiding between the trees like that, but soojung sees everything—every movement, every sneaky hand riding up a skirt, every hip latching to the other hungrily… she keeps her presence hidden (much better than the couple does), slightly curious, slightly bored, until they’re done with it and walk back to the main buildings (it took them only about five minutes, not too long a distraction if you ask her). the nymph is left behind wondering and pondering.
she gets tired of the lake and decides to go back to the fountain, where she finds a dozen other couples finding ways to link to each other physically. she’s never realized it until now. humans mate in a weird way.
(nymphs do too, she’s just never paid attention.)
soojung turns around and finds a lonesome student (a miracle!) that doesn’t look like they want to be bothered. naturally, she walks up to them.
“quick, kiss me.”
Inhaling slowly, Hyuk’s gaze traveled around the circle of the fountain for about the fourth time since his walk had come to a sudden halt. He had come this way many a time before when his legs screamed for stretching, wanting for the pretty scenery, lack of classrooms in his vision, and the number of attractive people grabbing each other’s butts. That last one kind of was his favorite at this point.
It wasn’t like he set out from his dorm to ogle classmates, but something about how shameless they could all be made him laugh, and lifted his spirits up from his most recent scolding about not doing his homework (not that that really affected him much to begin with).
He had an interesting way of watching everyone at once, so he never really noticed when one lone girl approached him, his thoughtful expression dropping into one of pure shock when she spoke to him.
Pretty girls speaking to him were one thing, but…
“Did you—“ When his brain caught up to the question, he examined her more closely, now that they were in each other’s proximately, and he decided instantly that questions could wait.
Shrugging, Hyuk agreed to her request with a decisive “alright,” then moved to cradle her face with one hand, using that point as leverage to move in for the requested kiss. He kept it classy, but as his body shifted a bit closer, he pointedly kept it in mind that if she desired to keep going, he would damn well be ready.
