I knew katsuki ran to him but I didnโt realize how he BOLTED to catch a falling deku in his arms, how katsukiโs body seemed to move on its own, how izuku have a little involuntary exhale of relief when he was caught and held,
HOW IZUKU RELAXED IN KATSUKIโS ARMS. HIS WHOLE BODY SANK INTO IT. HE CLOSED HIS EYES. AFTER WHO KNOWS HOW LONG OF STUBBORNLY STAYING AWAKE AND MOVING
[ Note: I have an OC for the Assassination Classroom that Iโve been solidifying for a while. I want to start writing about her, so Iโll probably start writing some drabbles/stories about her here. So without further ado, I welcome you . . . ]
Ogawa Yumi,
Sheโs a new student in Class 3-E, otherwise known as โEnd Classโ ; or the class full of delinquents to the Main Classes at Kunugigaoka High School.
Despite their reputation, Class E wasnโt as horrible as people made it out to be. It was just full of students that teachers gave up on, and thus made to be an example to the students in A classes. Sadly subject to the prejudice of the school itself.
Ogawa Yumi made her way up the stairs to head to her class, and she was far from happy. It wasnโt because of the new students sheโd have to see, or her new teachers; it was because she felt like she was failed by her entire school and parents. Any friends she had made in the A classes immediately abandoned her once they heard sheโd be transferred away. They acted like she no longer existed, or insulted her entire being. Calling her stupid, useless, pathetic, even a failure. All happiness she used to have was completely sucked out and now replaced with a dull, empty feeling.
Whenever she made her way to the old wooden building, she took a deep breath in. Her nerves started to get to her, she didnโt mean for it to, she wanted to be calm and collected. But her hands were trembling, and her stomach twisted uncomfortably. Anxiety. She knew it all too well.
She stepped into the building and made her way to her new class, hearing murmurs of a teacher talking, giving a lesson she figured. She gently knocked on the door, dominant hand falling beside her.
โAh class!! I believe itโs your new transfer student!โ She could hear the teacher exclaim enthusiastically. She heard some other students talking but couldnโt quite hear what they were saying.
โWhy is he so happy about it? Shouldnโt he be pissed having to teach another failure of a student?โ She wondered to herself.
The door opened, and Ogawaโs eyes widened to the size of saucers.
โAN OCTOPUS?? WHAT THE HELL IS THIS?!โ
โAh yes! Come in come in!โ
Ogawa slowly walked in the classroom, catching everyoneโs attention. She watched as everyoneโs eyes were just on her, probably examining her entire being with hopefully gentle curiosity. There wasnโt much about her honestly, she wore a large cardigan that covered a lot of her frame, wearing the uniform all the students were given and some simple black converses on her feet. Her hair was short, black and slightly wavy, and her eyes wereโ
โWhite? Iโve never seen someone with white eyes! Itโs like youโre from an actual anime!โ A girl said randomly. Ogawa noticed her short hair with bangs that looked like it had a dark magenta tint to it. Ogawa didnโt say anything, nervous and also feeling extremely awkward.
โNow now! What are you frowning for?โ The yellow octopus questioned, having a tentacle gently pat her back. Her feet shuffled from the foreign contact and started to bite the inside of her cheek. She didnโt say anything again, preferring silence over anything else.
The octopus stared at the new student for a while, analyzing, observing her mannerisms. He took a step back, and did notice how her shoulders slightly, very slightly relaxed. It was a small detail, but one that did not go unnoticed from him.
โWould you like to introduce yourself to the class? Any skills or hobbies or talents, or just your name is fine!โ
She took in another deep breath, introductions were awkward for her but it was currently necessary, so she budged this once.
โMy name is Ogawa Yumi, thatโs about it,โ she spoke, her voice coming out softer than she expected. Luckily everyone could hear her.
โWell itโs nice to meet you Ms. Ogawa-san, if you may, can you take a seat beside Nagisa Shiota? Nagisa please raise your hand.โ
A boy with blue hair that was put into small pigtails had raised his hand. The look on his face was purely gentle, especially with the small smile he had given the girl. The seat beside him (on the right) was empty, and Ogawa took her seat beside the boy. She sat her bag down on the floor to her left and rose her head up to see a large grin on her teacherโs face.
โOgawa Yumi, thereโs much to fill you in on! And I do hope that you enjoy this class!โ He spoke. โNowโฆ about the assassination.โ
Here are some cheat sheets with general information about the Greek Gods which you might find useful in worship but not only!
There is plenty of information I did not include. These are just simple cheat sheets. I could not fit everything in there but this might come in handy if youโre just starting out or want to get to know the Hellenic Gods.
For more information about them, I highly recommend you check out the websites or books I listed in sources!

๐๐ฎ๐ฆ๐ฆ๐๐ซ๐ฒ: When the Quantico office expands their library and introduces a new librarian, Spencer is immediately taken with her. But when she gets perhaps a little too curious about Spencer and is reading tastes, she turns to Penelope for help finding his goodreads...
๐๐จ๐ง๐ญ๐๐ง๐ญ: A bit of confident!Spencer, Penelope sneaks around to find Spencer's socials, literally the rest is fluff, flirting and books.
๐๐จ๐ซ๐ ๐๐จ๐ฎ๐ง๐ญ: Approx 1.7k (this was supposed to be a tiny drabble oops)
๐๐ฒ ๐๐จ๐ซ๐ค๐ฌ
๐๐ฎ๐ญ๐ก๐จ๐ซ'๐ฌ ๐๐จ๐ญ๐: Hello!! This was supposed to just be a little small drabble for my celebration, but I got a little bit carried away ๐ณ anyway, I hope you enjoy it and it lives up to the request sent in by @reidsbookclub!! ๐
Feel free to join in and send me some asks or requests for my celebration!
Spencer was all too happy the second it was announced that the library in the Quantico office was receiving an upgrade. Instead of just housing books beneficial to cases and archiving, it was going to have an entirely new section, created for recreational reading to help relieve workplace stress.
For Spencer it was not just a matter of relieving stress that the library did for him, but rather more of a sense of belonging.
It was not only the books that made him feel like he belonged, nor was it the heaps of archived articles, readings, lectures and every scrap of information contained within the library.
It was you.
Along with the upgrade, the office had added a new librarian and that just so happened to be you.
The old librarian had retired and perhaps it had been a blessing in disguise because she had been a rather unfriendly person to nearly everyone that entered the library.
You however, were a breath of fresh air.
Oh how Spencer adored coming through the library doors to be greeted with a sweet and smiley โHello, Doctor Reid.โ, Spencer loved the way his name sounded on your lips.
Spencer even began to wonder if some of his impromptu visits to the library were actually not for the books at all and were purely so that he could get a moment just to talk to you - this tended to occur after the end of a case and Spencer maintained, only to himself, that you were certainly a sight for sore eyes.
But as much as he knew his own attraction to you, he had absolutely no idea that those sweet smiles and little chats between the bookshelves were reserved only for him.
Naturally, it seemed like everyone else knew.
Spencer recommended all of the books that he thought other people would be interested in, but there were times that you wondered what his real reading interests were.
It was hard to tell with him, he read so much and so fast that he expanded his pool of interests as wide as it could possibly go.
So, one morning while the team was heading out to another state to work on a case, you cornered Penelope when she inevitably made her way into the library for some light hearted romance to try and keep her mind away from the gruesome side of her job.
โPen,โ You approached her as she stopped in front of the romance shelf.
Perhaps it had been a bit silly, but you did enjoy decorating the different fiction shelves according to their genre. Apparently some of the agents had made fun of your decorations, but Hotch and Spencer both reassured you that it was appreciated and made the room a lot more comforting and welcoming. Spencer even maintained that the people that didnโt like your decor probably didnโt read either.
โThere you are!โ Penelope lit up with a huge smile once she saw you. โI was hoping youโd be able to recommend a good romance for this week.โ
โOf course, but only if you help me out a little too.โ You wagered and Penelope glanced at you, her smile turning into a rather sly smirk, catching onto your mischievous tone.
โAlright Iโll bite, name your price sweetpea.โ
Looking around you both just to make sure that there wasnโt anyone else around, you suddenly became very shy. Oh this was going to be much more difficult than you had anticipated.
โUm-.โ
โThis is about our boy wonder, isnโt it?โ
If you had been drinking anything, you would have choked on it.
โWell, yes?โ You cringed at your own awkwardness. โI just wondered if you knew if he had anything like a bookstagram or a goodreads or something.โ You trailed off, words becoming more disjointed the more you spoke and Penelopeโs expression softened.
โYouโve come to the right person, Iโm the queen of many things and digging up social medias is one of them.โ She said with a proud smile. โIโll be right back, find me a book and Iโll give you whatever I find.โ
You grinned to yourself as she rushed off, saying something about โoh to be cupidโs loyal assistantโ on the way out.
You busied yourself with finding a nice romance for Penelope, which you eventually decided on The Flatshare by Beth OโLeary. Barely any time had passed before your friend came bustling back into the library with a small note between her fingers, poised in the air like she was carrying some kind of top secret note meant for Hotch.
โKeep this safe, do not tell Spencer who you got this from because I guarantee he will know itโs you snooping on his social media.โ She winked at you. โUnless you want to get caught.โ She giggled to herself, passing you the note.
You thanked her profusely the whole way through scanning her library card and stamping her book for her until she left the library.
And as soon as the doors were closed and the library was empty again, you grabbed your phone and the folded note that Penelope had left for you.
Spencer surprised you. Not only did he have a goodreads, on which his username was goodreids, which raised a snort of amusement from you, but he also had a bookstagram and a pinterest.
To say that you spent the better part of the week scrolling through his socials was an understatement. But being the librarian had its perks, one of them being that you could take out any book you wanted at any time and keep it for however long you wanted.
Upon your first investigation into Spencerโs goodreads, you found that he enjoyed more than just science fiction and mystery in his casual favourites. He also seemed to enjoy some classic romance, classic literature, gothic fiction and the list went on. It also looked like he had read Harry Potter and Sherlock Holmes a number of times and you wondered if they were his comfort reads.
According to his reviews, he highly recommended The Big Sleep by Raymond Chandler.
So, taking a browse through your own books, you dug the book out of the back of the library, checked it out on your card and read it during the quiet hours, the journey to and from work and the evenings until you finished it only a few days later.
So you continued reading the series and by the time the team was due back, you had read the first three books in the series.
โDr Reid, youโre back.โ You said it rather more enthusiastically than perhaps you had intended, but Spencer greeted you with a grin and a soft, โHey, how come youโre still here?โ
โOh, youโre not pleased to see me?โ You teased bashfully from behind your counter and Spencer just smiled and shook his head.
โNo, rather the contrary, actually. I missed this.โ His words made your heart flutter and you realised that youโd have to make yourself talk otherwise he would think you were weird for staring right at him for more than a couple of seconds while looking stunned.
In your panic to say something, you managed to muster up the courage to string together a sentence, but it was not quite what you had intended to say. โI read that book you recommended.โ You blurted it out and then immediately wished you could sink beneath the desk and out of sight.
Spencerโs brow creased and he looked at you with slight confusion. โWhat do you mean?โ He asked.
What were you supposed to say? I asked Penelope to stalk you and find me your goodreads? No, better not mention Penelope at all.
โI found your goodreads.โ You admitted rather bashfully and Spencer smirked at you.
โI know, you followed me.โ He said and you looked at him like heโd just spoken absolute nonsense.
โHow did you know it was me?โ You muttered.
โWell I guessed from the- you know what Iโll tell you later, which book did you read?โ He asked, changing the subject and you quite proudly held up a copy of The Big Sleep for him to see.
โTell me what you thought of it.โ Spencer said, propping his chin up on his hand, elbow leaning on your desk. There was a look in his eyes that just looked so genuine. This was probably the most attentive you had ever seen him around someone and it made you falter as you struggled to get out the words properly.
โI have a better idea.โ Spencer suddenly lit up. โItโs late, Iโm pretty sure you stayed here so late just to catch me before I went home because you knew Iโd come here.โ
The brutality of the truth almost felt like heโd ripped the bandage off.
โSo why donโt we go for a coffee date tomorrow and you can tell me all about what you thought of those books.โ He said.
โDate?โ You asked, almost dumbly.
โIf thatโs what you want it to be.โ Spencer nodded.
โIโd love that, Dr Reid-.โ
โIโm Spencer to you, sweetheart.โ He smirked. He looked like even he was surprised by his own line, but he maintained a cool expression.
โIโd love that, Spencer.โ
โThen Iโll see you in the morning, Iโll text you.โ And with that he looked down on your desk, picked up the paper that Penelope had given you and without any questions, he wrote his number down next to his socials.
He definitely knew it had been Penelope.
But that didnโt matter now, you felt like you were about to combust on the spot.
โText me when you get home safely.โ
โI will, Spencer.โ You agreed.
โGood girl.โ And with that, Spencer pushed away from your desk and made his way out of the library, leaving you to squirm and swoon in the privacy of your library.
You had never felt so stunned by a single man in your entire life.
Working with animal spirits is a wonderful way to start off in spirit work, but it can be daunting to start working with them when they vary from other, human-like spirits. Here's my semi-short and sweet process for beginning working with them!
Feel free to reach out if you have any questions!
Find one to work with.
I know this can sound intimidating and difficult, but it's fairly simple to find an animal spirit willing to work with you (especially since they're commonly around us)!
I typically work with animal spirits who are still connected to their pelts, bones, furs, nails, and even fossils. I find that it's a pretty straight forward method to make sure I'm working with a specific animal. However, it's entirely possible to reach out to animal spirits who may be staying around the local area (or may be found across the world).
When I first get an object that I feel may be connected to a spirit, I'll introduce myself and let them know why I'm interested in working with them (ie for companionship, for assistance with spells, etc). If I don't hear a response mentally/through a sign, I may use a divination method to verify their response to make sure they are interested as well.
Speak to them.
While this may seem a bit silly, the biggest way to start building the relationship and trust is to talk with them! Even if you aren't able to hear them, or even if they may not be able to understand everything*, it helps to just start speaking.
*Some animal spirits may find it hard to understand what you're saying, especially when talking about things that they've never interacted with or just are inherently human, but they are able to pick up on tone and inflection!
Pay attention to signs and learn how they talk.
Communication can vary with animal spirits, and some may have difficulty communicating in easily understandable ways. When you first start working with a new animal spirit, it's helpful to keep an eye out for any signs or random thoughts/images that pop into your head.
This also coincides with learning how they like to communicate. It's worth it to try different methods (tarot, pendulum, clairs, etc.) and see what works best for them! This process can take time and plenty of effort, but it's extremely worth it!
Give them offerings.
Offerings don't have to be complicated or expensive things- many animal spirits will appreciate you setting aside fresh water for them, or even some food.
As you go along, you may notice that certain spirits may tend to favor different offerings. It's always a good idea to experiment to see what works for you and the spirits!
Be Patient and go at their pace.
It may take more time to build up a relationship with certain animal spirits. There are some (like fossils) who are slow to respond and interact, as they are on a different 'timeline' than us (meaning time does not seem to pass as quickly for them). In addition, some animal spirits may just take a while to warm up to humans based on their temperament and past.
Some may not be comfortable sliding full force into a relationship and spending a lot of time with you, so make sure you're paying attention to their limits. If they seem to need some space or need to take a break, respect that!
