we passed 100,000 miles a few minutes outside bowling green, ky yesterday morning. the tires didn't fly off or anything, as I had secretly feared. they grow up so fast! yay buddy!
breakfast of champions!
this morning's episode of "where's the cat?" took place under the hotel box spring. cats!
we stopped at the boy scout headquarters in Nashville to check out this boy scout catfish in Andy's honor! the cat declined to pose with the catfish.

road scars.
a cat nap between Memphis and Nashville.
the two-state split!
Paris, Texas.
we went to lubbock to visit the buddy holly center this weekend. I loved it! I'm glad we got to go before I left Texas!
the cat hates riding in the car. i can only post one photo at a time on the tumblr app, so expect little updates from the road and real posts when I can fire up the computer. hitting the road shortly!
clementine was pleased with her box/furniture fort which better allowed her to look down on everyone. and sleep.
just before I dismantled my wall of favorite culled/duplicate materials at work. godspeed, john glenn.
by the time this posts, all of my work here are LYJO will be done! this is the physical portion of 205 days' worth of work. the rest is made up of hundreds of catalog records and eight finding aids. i like to go in the storage area and just admire them, like new babies. it's hard to believe i'm really done!
after the wedding i spent a couple of days in saranac lake at andy's new digs. i didn't do too much exploring (read: no hiking in the mountains), but it is beautiful up there and i can't wait to visit again. snowshoeing in the winter? swimming in lakes? pine trees forever? critters everywhere? i'm in!
