Made an island charm for a friend who has also been the DM of an MtG-setting 5e campaign for going on seven years. (My MtG knowledge starts and ends at the lore; don't ask me about mechanics.)

Pattern from Craftgurumi, but I freestyled most of the colors. In particular, I didn't have a brown that closely matched the color she used for the outer border of the back, so I looked at a card and used a blend of DMC 832 and 935 (dark avocado green and golden olive - I think) and I feel like that ended up looking pretty good!

went to a workshop for on the wheel pottery last month, the 'goal' was a mug but i ended up going for a trinket dish because i started over like 10 times

as you can see, there's a large crack in the middle that goes all the way through to the other side, so my plan is to put some gold resin in there, like a bastardization of kintsugi

and because i kinda wanted to add some gold specks as soon as i picked the black glaze

this one i hand sewed because my sewing machine was giving me grief with the small pieces on the last one, but it was the only one i hand sewed. this and the following four i all did on the same day, june 29th i think

All done!! I had just enough of this colorful cat fabric for the backing and I love it

i'm bad at sewing binding however so i whip stitched all around the underside

i tried my new darning foot, but it broke two needles so i gave up, switched back and just did a pre-programmed vine stitch :3 i like how it turned out
