Call me Pinch! This is a blog I made to finally have a positive place to talk about my Aplatonic identity, Aplatonicism in general, as well as discuss other topics that interest me, such as the AroAce spectrum and Gender. I'm a disabled, intersex, AplAroAce spectrum bug who goes by They/Xey/He pronouns! Realizing I was on the Aplatonic spectrum was a big joy for me, and the nuances of this identity and others are so interesting to think about. My condition affects my wrist a lot, and to be honest even before my disability got worse I wasn't at the level of art I wanted to be. It feels like there's this big secret on how to make your digital art slicker and better that nobody is telling me, and it makes me sad. Still, rather than focusing on the stuff I can't do right now, I'm going to focus on the joy of discovering it piece by piece. It's a frustrating journey to teach yourself something with a learning disability when it feels like everyone is walking a steady pace toward a finish line meanwhile I'm having to jump hurdles. But really, there isn't even a finish line. There's no starting shot. There's no time limit, not really. I can pace myself and take my time. Someday I'll look back and realized holy shit, I jumped a LOT of hurdles.

I don't believe being Aplatonic, Aromantic, Asexual, or any other Anattractional orientation should be an excuse to be misanthropic. I don't believe hate should be a basis for any identity. If the reason you believe you're on these spectrums is because you've decided to "give up on people" or "hate people now", especially if this is a recent decision, then you're choosing to blanket the people around you as being worthy of hatred for no reason. People who have done nothing to you, people who may be kind and good in their own ways, but you don't know because you've actively decided to shut yourself off from others and justify yourself with an orientation label. Lack of Attraction isn't Hatred. Please take care of your mental health.
