Since the arrival of Leon and his people there’s been a lot of tention between the two groups. Because of that it has been decided that everyone needs to get a chance to get to know each other better. On their second night in Readville everyone met up in front of the church. Some of the rations have been shared, as well as blankets and even some bottles of alcohol - Anything to help everyone adjust to the new situation.

After the rations have been spread, everyone was assigned a new job and an accommodation.

So put on your best clothes, gather around the bonfire that has been lit on the town square and plaster a smile on your face. If your first impression wasn’t the best, here’s your chance to make a second one. Just be aware that no fights will be tolerated and whoever breaks the rule will have to leave the meeting point and return to their accommodation.

The very first event in Apocalypsis will be a bonfire on the town square in Readville. To prevent more fights everyone has been told to attend for at least a few minutes and give the strangers a chance.

This event might not be very plot heavy but it’ll be essential for all the characters. They’ll be able to grasp a new view on the situation and maybe even change their minds on their ally.

We encourage everyone to plot for the event! Make this one count and interact as much as possible. This is a night without any dangers or bad intentions and you’ll be able to focus solely on your character and their development.

The event will start on Saturday, October 30th and will last until Novemeber 6th. Until then it’s going to be fully active. On November 6th the event will begin to be semi-active which means that everyone will be able to finish their threads and paras but no one is allowed to post new starters involving the event.

Current threads can be continued and don’t need to be dropped. To make sure which starters involve the event, please tag them with #apoevent1

Born and raised in Tennessee, Lily’s life was laid out in front of her. During her studies, Lily focused solely on economics, so that one day she would be ready to pick up her father’s business, a shipping company extending to all over America, Europe and Asia. During her years at school, the already gorgeous Lily flourished  into a beautiful young woman, having one boyfriend after the other she was the pack leader of her small entourage that she received with her popularity. Not only did she have a pretty face, Lily was also a straight A student and many said she had a bright future ahead of her.

Lily never took over her father’s business. Instead she watched how it was destroyed by looters, panicking at the start of the second outbreak. That was when her father was attacked by an infected man. Instead of allowing himself to become one of those ‘monsters’, her father took his own life so that he wouldn’t be of any danger to anyone. Lily lost her mother and her brother in the madness when the outbreak took over Tennessee, and ever since it was Lily against the world.

From time to time Lily was found amongst others. Travelling with them for a while allowed her to teach more in the skills of fighting and survival, but she never lingered for too long before she left.  It wasn’t like she preferred to be alone almost constantly. On the contrary, Lily hates the silence. It’s just the fact that her survival rate would be lower among those unfit to protect themselves and others or risk drawing more attention towards them. When she was alone she had more chance of slipping passed bandits or walkers unseen. And truthfully, Lily didn’t feel safe when they were out in the open without any chance of defence. This fear only escalated when her first group got attacked by bandits, when Lily woke up to the sound of screaming as her fellow travellers were being cut down. She managed to escape, but left a nasty scar on her arm and lip due to it.

That changed when she stumbled upon Readville. Impressed by the defences and the armed soldiers, Lily offered her services in exchange for a place to rest her head at night, to become part of his community. Austin accepted her offer and thus allowed her into his town. Proving to be very useful, Lily taught others what she knew and learned new things herself. She even gives advice to Austin from time to time whenever he asks for it, knowing he’d never turn away her words of wisdom she never holds back on the truth.

It’s been sixteen years since the first breakout started to ruin the world. The whole society started breaking apart and a lasting battle for survival has taken over. Within a short amount of time everything was ruined and soon it was obvious that nothing would ever be the same again. The infection has taken a lot and given no mercy in return. Figuring out how to live in a world which was deadly and spread death on every corner shaped every human drastically, forcing them to adjust their morals.

Even though it might feel like a lifetime, there was a world which was so very different than the one we are used to. And there was a time when seeing someone getting shot was traumatizing - the time inbetween then and now. The Outbreaks.

In our first writing task you are given the chance to explore your character during the time of the outbreak. You can write the first time they’ve heard about it on the news or their first encounter with an infected. Be creative and take the time to come up with something fitting the biography! Think about their reaction. Were they scared or not? Do they regret their choices? If so, what would they do differently? When was the first time they had to become violent to safe their own life? There are no limits to the emotional state one has to face in a time like that, just be creative with it and explore your character by jumping into the past.
