apollo nikolai guzman was born on june 11, 1998, nineteen minutes after his older brother artemis. both were healthy babies, and their mom recovered quite quickly after their birth. antonion and elizabeth felt that having their kids was one of the best part of their lives, and the day they were born was the best day for them. but the idea of staying together had been long gone. they were separated by then, and the twins were truly a happy surprise.
after much thinking, they both knew that they could never live with each other, after trying for two years, they knew that they wouldn't last, so they decided that perhaps the best thing they could do was to take one of the twins and raise them. but they knew that they would meet up for holidays and birthdays so that the twins could at least know one another. and they did, four a couple years, but each holiday became harder, leaving calls, then sending cards, and then nothing.
apollo grew up in los angeles with his mother. and memories of his twin brother became less and less. he sometimes felt like he may have imagined it. so he focused on himself, focused on his interest, one of them being acting. at a young age he played with the idea that acting really was the one thing he wanted to do with his life. his first role being in the patriot. after that he was getting gig after gig. and when he landed the biggest role of a lifetime, playing percy jackson, who happened to be his favorite character from a book series, it truly changed his life.
after finishing the first percy jackson movie, he knew that college was still in the books because his mother always wanted him to go there, so he went to new york university to study writing, and that's when he met his brother. his twin brother. and that's when the truth of them was revealed. they were separated and their parents intended for them to meet again but it proved difficult.
apollo wasn't sure how he felt about this, but he focused on school and doing more films. but eventually he met up with his twin once again after he decided to take a break for a bit from acting, and try to get close to his twin. now they are both in los angeles, where they try to figure out what was next for them.

lena's head spun around--no way was someone talking about percy jackson in the year of our lord 2023. "wait, did you say something about rick? like rick riordan?" lena had never been one for subtlty--or shyness. she didn't have a single problem talking to someone she'd barely met. "this is gonna be real weird if you weren't, but if you were--is percy jackson coming back?"
" yes, are you a fan of the books? " apollo asked. when she asked about the series coming back, apollo nodded. " it is. i use to play percy in the movies. i keep in touch with rick, and heard the good news. and yea, the new series comes out in december. i'm very happy for him, " he nodded. " i'm one of his biggest fans, so of course i wanted the movies to succeed. glad he gets a show that will be more accurate to his books. "
"Maybe karma is working through me, right? So I'm not even doing anything wrong, I'm just doing karma's bidding. I'm a vessel for karma to impose justice on the world," he said, smiling now. "Eh, I'm sure it's fine. Probably cleans your skin the way soap is supposed to, or whatever. Might smell a little funky."
" i mean–– i guess so, " he softly chuckled. " wow, that's like, a big deal. did taylor swift get inspired by you? is karma actually a song written about you, " he teased. " the funky smell is probably the thing they say that has all these natural things to save your skin or whatever, " he mocked.
"I agree. Well isn't it about like the first ever hunger games and isn't it about president snow? Unless i'm just dumb and totally made that up in my head." August snickered at himself as he looked at the other not realizing if he was completely wrong or not. "Oh yeah, they will do anything and everything to try and make some more money and even if it only lasts a season, they know there are so many Harry Potter fans out there that will give it a shot and they'll make their money from it."
" yes, it is, " he said. " the story when he was younger. i think he fell in love too. it shows why he became the snow he is in the original trilogy, " he responded. the fact that apollo knew all this and he hadn't read the book. but he was going to pick it up to read it before the premiere. " honestly, are we surprised. these companies, all they care about is money, " he said. " yea, well, hopefully it stays very true to the books. "
"Oh, right!" Marcos smiled, nodding his head. He'd never actually watched those movies, but he knew about them. He knew they'd been popular, too, and he was proud of all of the other's accomplishments no matter what they were. "I like the shows where people who can't cook try to cook. Or bake. And also the shows where cake looks like other things," he said, shrugging.
apollo nodded. he wasn't sure if the other really knew exactly what he was talking about, but he wasn't going to blame him. it wasn't everyone's type. apollo smiled though, thinking of something else to talk about, trying to change the subject. " wait, seriously? i fear that i would end up in that show. i can't cook for shit. can you cook? " he asked. " oh–– is it cake? that show is good. "
August couldn't help but smile wide as he heard the other talking about the newest addition to the Hunger Game series that was coming out. "I agree with you right there. I'm so excited to see the new Hunger Games movie, like it's gonna be so good I feel like." He explained to him as he smirked softly. "I don't know about the Harry potter series though, so I can't really relate to that honestly."
" no, i agree. the new hunger games will be awesome to watch. because it's a new story. the percy jackson tv series will be just as good since it will be more true to the story. i think the harry potter show, not necessary. the movies were good enough, in my opinion. but, that's H O L L Y W O O D . Marcos was blowing gently on his tea, waiting for it to cool down a bit so he could drink it, with furrowed brows as he tried to jump into the conversation as best he could. It definitely seemed like he was supposed to know what series Apollo was talking about, but after wracking his brain a few moments he realized he wasn't going to be able to guess. Most of her free time, she tried to get drunk or laid or party, something that fully felt like she was another person and not living her lame life. " it feels like the 2010s again, i swear. new hunger games, harry potter series, twilight most likley announced soon, " he sighed. “Thirty-five dollars for a bar of soap?” Jules didn’t think he’d said it too loudly, but the woman behind the table just trying to sell her goods definitely heard him. She mumbled something about being all-natural and yada yada, he wasn't really listening, too focused on the fact that her tone and her expression were smug as hell. And besides, he’d always hated being chastised. When it seemed like she was finished, he turned to leave, but then thought better of it. As he turned back around, he noticed her attention was on a new potential customer, so he reached over and grabbed the bar of soap he’d been eyeing, pocketing it before hustling away. Jules didn’t get far before making eye contact with someone who definitely looked like they’d seen him, and he stopped walking, cheeks burning from the entire encounter. Well, oops. "I'll give you, like, ten dollars worth of this soap if you keep your mouth shut," he muttered, nodding solemnly as if it were a good deal.
apollo loved going to these little markets. especially when he had nothing to do sunday mornings. the fact that he woke up this early was a surprise to him, but he loved when he got a chance. eyes shifted to look over at the other male that spoke, hearing him question the price of the soap, with a D I S D A I N in his voice. he chuckled, focused on the other booth he was in. when he looked up again, he saw the other grabbing one of the soaps and putting it in his pocket. " why don't you just pay for it, " he chuckled. " the price is higher because it's all local, you know, " he smiled. " or just put it back, my dude. "
