XOXO || Chanyeol & Kyungsoo
It doesn’t take much effort to detach Kyungsoo from the table really not when his grip is as strong as a melted pudding. It doesn’t stop him from whining and trying his best to glue himself on the table though, and to no avail since moments later his arm is draped over Chanyeol’s shoulder as he’s half dragged half carried away from the place. It’s a wonder how Chanyeol could keep himself upright, leaning down slightly to accommodate his height. Kyungsoo refuses to notice the height difference and the woozy eyesight is thankfully helping.
“I’m not sick though I’m fine,” Kyungsoo whines nonetheless when they reached the bathroom, his hand automatically going up to hold onto the tiled sink as he tries to will his stomach to keep the alcohol down. He scrunches up his nose because it’s ridiculous how the white tiles are blinding him in some way and he turns his head to the side to keep his eyes from burning. Chanyeol’s black tux is better to stare at anyway he thinks.
“Let’s just go somewhere not as white as this bathroom,” he slurs, failing to put some logic in his sentence yet again. His stomach wasn’t as queasy as it was moments ago thankfully, and he’d rather keep it that way. It’s better to be sick and green when the hangover of the century hits him the next morning so he can be miserable in one go, plus there’s less chance of making a fool of himself in front of Chanyeol that way. With that, Kyungsoo tugs on Chanyeol’s sleeve with his free hand before they’re back to stumbling their way to back to the dorms but it’s more of him stumbling on his own two feet as Chanyeol keeps him from falling flat on his face which he’s very thankful for.
Soon a familiar room greets him and he’s happily face planting on his comfortable bed, refusing to move the moment his body hit the soft mattress. He managed to get a good grip on Chanyeol sleeve though so they end up falling together, the bed wobbling for a few seconds as sleep tries to take Kyungsoo away for the night.
It had taken a moment of convincing before Chanyeol finally agreed to take Kyungsoo away from the bathroom and back to the dorms. He figures if the other is still well enough to tell him that he isn’t going to be sick, then there really was no point in keeping him captive in there for much longer. Tossing an arm around him again, Chanyeol helps his friend out of the party and heads back towards their dorm.
He’s more than thankful that their dorms aren’t that much of a trek away, otherwise he’s certain he might have dropped Kyungsoo on the way back. It was difficult enough trying to keep himself upright when he had his back bent the way it was, and knees scrunching as he helped the shorter boy walk—but with the addition of Kyungsoo’s drunken, wobbling state, he’s surprised he’s managed to keep the two of them on their feet for as long as they had been.
It isn’t long before the oh so familiar doors are greeting him, and a wave of relief washes over him. Chanyeol doesn’t think he’s ever been this excited to see a set of doors before, but the moment they set foot into the dorms, all responsibility of making sure his friend makes it home alive and well wash out the window. He’s accomplished the one honest thing he’s tried ever so hard to do tonight, and if he forgets the fact that he kissed Kyungsoo earlier, then maybe, just maybe, he can pretend that he’s been the most honest, best friend that Kyungsoo deserves.
The two boys stumble through the front of the dorm until they reach Kyungsoo’s room and it’s a miracle that they hadn’t woken any of the other potentially sleeping members. Or maybe they were all still out, which would make this a little less awkward to explain later. “Kyungsoo…” He whines the moment he feels himself being dragged down with his friend, and if it hadn’t been for him bracing himself with his forearms, he’d have fallen—and potentially squished his friend. However, now that he’s here, he feels all strength in his body leave him, his eyes heavy as sleep slowly hits him.
