Baekhyun is really trying to not think and feel selfconscious about what image they’re making in the middle of their dinning table — two adutls who act more like teenagers making out with some struggle since the angle of their bodies isn’t the best and it’s crystal clear not only the awkwardness and frustration because they can’t touch each other even if they really want to, at least that is true for Baekhyun’s side —, is really trying to not think about the consequences of the kiss — not that Hyosang will change aroung him or anything, it’s something more about Baekhyun, how he’ll have to deal with those unrequited feelings without ending up pushing Hyosang away and/or demaging CROSSE without it even debuting. He knows more than well how he will have to be careful around the rapper, make sure Hyosang doesn’t know about those feelings that can just ruin everything until they are definitely gone and Baekhyun can laugh about the whole situation with him.
The vocalist would be lying if he said he doesn’t feel a little smug and so ridiculously happy when Hyosang shows signs of frustration for not being able to touch, his mind shouting down the part where he thinks it’s probably good because then Hyosang won’t realize he’s kissing a boy and be disgusted by it and probably never look at Baekhyun’s face again. The older boy lets out a small sound alike to a whimper when he feels the stimulus in his tongue, his hands clenching into fists under him and he really just wants to reach out and do something, anything, touch anywhere he can because he thinks that’s part of the magic, that’s instinct and how people are even able to kiss without laying a hand on whoever they are kissing? Whoever invented this game should had been a masochist, because it’s not only torture for the person being kissed but also for the person who is kissing.
But that’s when Baekhyun actually has an idea. It’s cheating but it isn’t cheating like cartel that everyone knows that happen but they can’t prove it. The fact that Baekhyun leans forwards to make Hyosang leans backwards just enough that he has to hold on something — or to be more accurate to someone — to not fall off his chair might not have been on purpose, maybe Baekhyun just got a little too excited with the kissing — which he totally is, even when in big denial about important things it’s imposssible to deny that — and like he can’t touch his next instinct is too get closer, lean forwards and more forwards. Besides, in the worst of the scenarios, Hyosang will ask for a rematch and Baekhyun is more than willingly to give it to him.
It takes Hyosang a moment before he realizes the other’s strategy. At first he was just smug, assuming that Baekhyun was just overeager to kiss him since he was so great at it and all. And then the gentle tilt of his body was growing steeper and it was getting harder to stay upright. Hyosang didn’t have the abdominal muscles for this, by the time he realized what was going on it was too late. Maybe it happened in just a moment or maybe it was several minutes, he really couldn’t tell, but gravity caught up with him and was tugging him down and his gut clenched in that panic that the body feels when it thinks it’s falling. Hyosang’s arms flailed about wildly, kiss forgotten as a very unmanly squeak escaped his lips. Hands searched for something, anything to grab onto, and he hauled himself upright only to realize that... shit. He was holding onto Baekhyun’s arm like a vice. He had lost.
“That’s cheating!” Hyosang blurt out almost immediately, knowing that the game was already a lost cause for him. “I didn’t-- I wouldn’t have touched you if I hadn’t been falling! I should have won!” He was whining way too much for a grown man who had just won a game about kissing, but it was late enough at night (or maybe early enough in the morning) that Hyosang didn’t even have the shame to care. He’s scandalized, not by the fact that his mouth had been all over a dude’s mouth but by the fact that he had been cheated out of his victory. By someone he regarded as one of his closest friends, no less! It was the kind of betrayal that left Hyosang pouty and wiping fake tears from his cheeks.
He frowned, eyebrows knitting together in disgruntlement. There had to be a way to right this, to save his pride and his dignity without truly admitting defeat. “Rematch.” Hyosang declared, crossing his arms and pressing his lips into a thin line. “No cheating. I would have won if you didn’t pull that little stunt and you know it.” He accused the other with narrowed eyes, though there was really no true ill intent. Hyosang was competitive, that was all. Though honestly, he’d be lying if he said that the idea of kissing Baekhyun again was totally unappealing, though he wasn’t going to think too hard on why that was. The older boy was a really good kisser and the rapper hadn’t gone on a date or anything in a very long time, that was all. A little lonely and needy.
