playing cotc and i pulled crick… i don’t have temenos to pair him with but im emotional about his first unlockable passive skill…

it’s SO powerful. this skill has singlehandedly made all the fights 10x easier. crick has the ability to deliver a follow up strike to ALL ENEMIES after EVERYONE ELSE’S attacks… but ONLY if he’s paired with a cleric.

and who’s the only cleric he’s ever been canonically paired with? the one he’s with during the entirety of his time in OTII?? the one this skill is definitely referencing?

the idea of crick becoming significantly more powerful just by being close to temenos… i am sobbing. bawling, even. temenos helps him uncover his true strength. augh. aughhhh

just starting the solistia story in cotc and what is up with the localization… did they fire all their translators when they made it?? did they use google translate for it? like i’m understanding the story just fine but the translation seems so much more stilted than it does in the orsterra part. like why is sail sometimes called saul. lmfao

big fan of osvald’s character design. usually scholars are designed very lightweight like “ohh im a great spellcaster but if i lose my magic im Helpless!” meanwhile osvald is built like a double door fridge. he doesn’t need magic to defend himself he just studies it for the love of the game. he will cast spell of His Fist in Your Face

i am once again thinking about What The Hell does the “Eir” in Eir’s Apothecaries mean. is that Castti’s… middle name? Nickname? is Eir some person she met one time who inspired her to become an apothecary, like Graham Crossford is for Alfyn? is Eir a character of myth that had to do with healing perhaps?

i saw a theory somewhere that said that maybe Eir is Castti’s last name and Florenz is actually Malaya’s last name… may be accepting this theory into my worldview tbh

partitio wouldve been more communist if octopath was an indie game. literally it started off as a story about how the working class is exploited and how they should stand up for themselves, and then it feels like halfway through the executives caught wind of it and told the writers “make there be Good Billionaires in this story Or Else!!!”
