keegan.
TO HIS RELIEF, he gets the response he hoped for. “hey, don’t get all defensive. i don’t know your life.” he texts back the response, keeping his phone in hand as he walked towards where he would find happiness in the form of dogs. “ferrets are rad. i can handle that.” he responds, considering ignoring the other part, but a SMALL part of him feels sympathy, because he mentioned his parents. “and hey, it’s fine. i don’t really either. just my brother, who my parents never told me about, so. haven’t spoken to them since i moved. we can start a club.” sentiment isn’t the most common emotion for keegan, but even in the short amount of time he’s known juni, the boys soft nature relaxed his typically rude complex. sure, he was still – not the nicest, but he could recognize when he could help. “just left. you wanna meet me by the diner ? ”
“ BARK ! ” was the first thing that juniper yelled after he slipped on his shoes - two seconds later there’s the australian ridgeback known as bark ruffalo running towards juniper. “ hey there buddy, you ready to go outside ? i got a special treat for you. ” his smile is wide & soon enough he’s attaching the leash to bark ruffalo before turning on his heel & walking outside. “ i’m leaving right now & i should be close pretty soon. this dog is going to make me run a marathon. bark is so excited & i didn’t even tell him we’re seeing you; i think he just has a feeling, ” is what juniper sends as his next text before picking up his pace to keep up with his mountain of a dog.
