if i had a nickel for every time I read a series that’s supposed to be 4 books but is currently only 3 with no release date of the 4th in sight about a dark-eyed, fiercely ambitious queer woman falling in love with the buff golden-eyed woman she’s supposed to be enemies with, who then sacrifices herself for her at the end of the first book which leaves lasting consequences on the narrative and the mental state of the first character, i’d have two nickels. which isn’t a lot but it’s weird that it happened twice
