while i will continue to vague post about my hellcheer angst w/no happy ending fic here's a lil' something~

She can admit to them being an odd couple. They were too different, too opposing. Yet, somehow always coming back together. Polarizing magnetics that wouldn't be separated no matter how much people (see her family and his friends) wanted them to. Chrissy wanted an escape and everything about Eddie Munson screamed freedom to her while Eddie wanted the comforts that her privilege brought (a mutual understanding that she thought little of at the time). But maybe she should've listened to that little voice in her head. Cautioning her that one day that fragile string build off of a childish hopes and love would snap and prove Chrissy's worst fears. That everyone was right after all. That her mother was right. That no matter how much they loved each other, how well they knew each other; they were doomed from the start. A futile attempt to demonstrate that they were different when the reality was so much simpler. They weren’t special at all.

- summertime swing by @gunmetal-ring : this is probably my favourite hellcheer summer fic!! gunmetal writes such a bold loud dumb charming down bad eddie in such a distinctive prose you won’t get enough!! this fic is fun and sweet and hot and kickstarted my current summercamp!au obsession!!

- belladonna by @corishat : this fic feels like being young and full of dreams and hopes and going out on one of those summer nights to catch a shooting star and make a wish!! It’s the 70s! they’re aspiring musicians! they’re roommates! what could you possibly want more from a story???!!! I’ve loved this fic since it was just an idea and I can’t wait to see the story unfold and you should all get onboard right now!! also comes with a killer playlist!

Like imagine school ended you’re home a bit bored and you turn on the TV and there’s a pretty girl with a fiancé who can’t even remember her favourite movie and she actually has way more chemistry with the other couple’s guy?? wtf? this fic is deliciously angsty but also hilarious with the added bonus of TV hosts!stobin !!
