If anyone wants to read my AU story, here it is. Of course it’s Stancy, as if I’m capable of writing anything else 😂

I hate to even talk about season 5 in this much detail because I honestly want to eject it from my memory, but did anyone notice that when Jonathan and Nancy were stuck in that room, calling for help, that Nancy called for Steve, yet Jonathan called for Dustin? Regardless of who you ship together, you have to admit that Jonathan was behaving irresponsibly. This moment has been used by us Stancies as evidence of their bond, but if you actually look at Jonathan's behaviour, you'll find yourself disliking him more and more. I'd go as far as to say I hate him. We saw what Will experienced (apparently the Duffers didn't because they gave us hardly any information in season 5 whatsoever) and as his brother, Jonathan was there. Don't make the mistake of thinking I mean this in an emotional or supportive context- there is an obvious bond between the two. I don't view this as as a result of anything Jonathan has done in the show. It is completely normal to be close with your siblings, especially when that same sibling was present throughout all of your major trauma. However, when it comes to Jonathan's actions, what he controls and decides on doing, they are consistently childish and immature. He left Will alone on Halloween despite knowing what he had gone through, all to attend a party that he wasn't necessarily comfortable in. He left his brother, a child, to chase a girl- a girl he barely had any contact with during said party apart from taking her home. Whether Jonathan was a minor or not, he is the older, more mature one in the relationship and should be a lot more caring. The scene in season 5 once again proves that he hasn't faced any significant character development. Rather than prioritise Nancy and their safety in general, he calls for the child in the situation. A literal child. He would rather keep his overinflated ego in tact than admit that he needs help. He would rather put a child at risk than look weak next to another man. I find it odd - and genuinely concerning- that no one relates this to the fact that he saw what his brother went through. What his friends went through. What CHILDREN were forced to face, and yet this is seemingly irrelevant to him? If you think that this man is at all a hero in any context, you need to seek serious help. I find that members of the ST fandom tend to settle for the bare minimum, particularly when it comes to this creature, and I can't stand it. Even if you aren't a stancy, his behaviour is disgusting for someone that is supposed to be a supportive figure. If you cannot separate your feelings about a ship to acknowledge that- once again, seek serious help. note: This isn't at all hate towards Charlie. He is amazing at what he does, and it's a shame he has been forced to portray someone so bland and unlikeable.
i love lumax so much i’m gonna cry omg
Okay but what if Mike had “died” with El.
and the last scene is Dustin telling the story of our heroes, the Mage and the Paladin.
and instead of El standing alone by the waterfalls…
they’re both there.
hand in hand.

Heroes by David Bowie.
It’s funny, because *Enola Holmes* directly addresses a common criticism from recent years—voiced by a segment of the audience that foolishly believes a strong woman entering a relationship somehow betrays her independence or halts her personal growth. That simply isn't the case. Eleven from *Stranger Things*—also played by Millie Bobby Brown—has faced that exact same criticism for years. So, it’s incredibly satisfying to see her in a role where the story itself critiques this new cliché surrounding female characters. Especially since even Enola Holmes faced that kind of criticism—specifically, that she shouldn't end up married to Tewkesbury because it would undermine her character as a strong woman. But fuck them, cause Enola can end up in a relationship—married and happy—while remaining the strong, independent woman she is. She and Tewkesbury can keep evolving and growing together. Damn it, Eleven should have had that kind of ending with Mike, too!

excuse me while i sob
Something about Lumax is that they're just well-rounded. They first (sort of) met through a nerdy/geeky mutual hobby - arcade games -, we know they both do well at school, and then they continue playing DnD into adulthood. But they're also both genuinely interested in some form of sports, whether it's mainstream (basketball) or more niche/alternative (skateboarding), and these interests are strong enough not to have gone away after everything they've endured.
Just smart and fun and maybe slightly more conventionally cool and less nerdy than the rest of the party :)
I mean, yeah. The Duffers really tried to fix seasons’ worth of underwriting Jonathan Byers’ character by giving him everything he wanted and the moral/narrative upper hand in the finale and it did not in fact work.
That sounds nice. Yeah? Yeah. STANCY WEEK 2026 DAY ONE → favourite episode
