So this happened last month.

My students know I am getting married, and they have started asking questions. Usually it goes something like this:

Almost 4 year old R: "Why are you getting married?"

Me: "Well I love my fiance and want to marry him."

R: "But will you still come visit us when you're married?"

They thought it meant I wouldn't be their teacher anymore. 🥺😭 I have reassured them multiple times that I will still work there.

A 2.5 year old hands me her sunglasses, water bottle, and a book. She says, "Here, hold this for me."

I said ok and asked what she was going to do.

She very dramatically stretched her arms and said, "I'm gonna do me."

I am SO beyond happy to be back at work now. I missed my kiddos so much. 💕

A 5 year old asked me last week if my tattoos came from prison...

When you can't see your students for a while, you send them letters. ♡

IM NOT OKAY.

When I first started working at my center almost 3 years ago, these four kiddos were either recently moved into or about to move into the toddler room (which is where I started). They all happened to move into the preschool classroom around the time I took over as preschool lead teacher. Now they are off to kindergarten! I am so proud of them, but I am definitely going to miss seeing them every day. ❤😭

Walked by the baby room the other day...

One of the older ones yells out, "Oh, Mama Becca!"

And then they all started calling me Mama Becca 😂

Yesterday a 3 year old girl told me,

"There's chalk all over my jacket!"

Well she doesnt quite pronounce the 'ch' or 'l' quite right. Until she showed me the chalk marks on her jacket, I was 100% sure she was saying something very inappropriate.

Today one of my toddlers completely misheard what I asked her.

I saw her just standing in front of the toilet, and she has struggled before with unbuttoning her pants on her own.

Me: "Did you need help with your pants?"

Her: "No, I dont have a penis. I have a vagina."

Me: "................I said pants."

Her: "Oh. No I got it!"

Yesterday a 2.5 year old girl dropped her cup of milk between us at breakfast. It splashed a tiny bit on my leg, so she immediately asks me, "Are you ok!?" She then proceeds to clean it up and tell me, "It's ok!"

I really love my job and kiddos. ♡

Our preschool lead teacher has her septum pierced...

And today after the school kids got off the bus, one told her, "You look like a baby cow with the nose thing!"

I asked a 3 year old if his mom calls him by his full name or his nickname at home..

And he says, "No, she calls me a pistol!" 😂

I have a student who is almost completely non vocal. I can count on one hand how many times I have heard her say yeah or hi (the only two words I have heard her say). Well today, out of nowhere, she says, "Becca." I almost fell out of my chair.
