Delora rolled her eyes, turning back to the shelves. If she was on edge it was because she was overwhelmed. The workload only got larger each year and her lack of skill in most areas of magic always became most apparent to her within the first couple of months of each new years. It was frustrating, not to mention exhausting, trying to find a way to push through. “I’m fine. I just like a quiet library.” Her words were clipped as she grabbed her book, turning back to Rose. “It’s just courteous.”
“I get that” Rose smiled, although in her mind she still insisted she hadn’t made that much noise at all, but ultimately, she knew it was hardly worth an argument or to mention it at all. “Is a particular subject giving you grievance?” she asked. It was quite late in the evening and Delora seemed a bit tired, at least to Rose.
