the thought of meeting you makes me weak in the knees
"KKin of… the same way you act innocent but aren’t." Kenny answered easily with a smile. Sweet but not really. He didn’t really have any experience with girls that acted like April; most of them just tried to get his attention or ignored him all together. They either were sickeningly sweet or viciously bitter but then there was April, who was cute and funny and teased him right back. She was fun and Kenny didn’t really think girls were fun since he was in kindergarten. "I make sense,." He defended himself lazily with a soft smile.
"Maybe I should listen to your father and watch myself around you. I wonder if I’ll be able sleep without being violated by you." Kenny pulled a worried expression in an instant, something he was quiite accustomed to with practice from his sister. Not only did she like to dress him up and use him as a model for some of her work but she liked giving him little acting lessons too. He wasn’t sure what made her qualified to do so but her answer was always ‘because I’m a woman and acting is what we’re good at’. He didn’t argue since her little lessons helped him get kimchi from his mom.
It wasn’t enough to regret the kiss but Kenny was wondering if it was smart to have kissed April. It was innocent and he wasn’t feeling hot and bothered but just the softness of her lips was tempting him to give into her and kiss her again. Really the only thing stopping him was a big red sign saying ‘INAPPROPRIATE’. That and his wobbly kneed self control. His chest tightened at her words but worsened by her actions. “You’re terrible. ” Kenny muttered as he leaned down again and bringing his lips to hers. Just when they would touch, when he could feel her breath on his mouth, his lips found the corner of her lips and left just as quickly. “We better get going. ” He said, a little breathless, before stepping around April to the passenger seat. He couldn’t help the smile on his face and he wasn’t going to fight it either. He was very much enjoying himself.
"Of course you make sense to you, you know how your mind works," April teased him back and playfully rolled her eyes. He looked like he was having fun, which was good. She had been extremely nervous that when they met he would think she was stupid in person, or annoying or completely obnoxious and that he'd immediately ask her to drop him off at a hotel and even though he'd even leaned in to kiss her she still felt a horrible roiling in her stomach at the thought of him wanting to stay somewhere else instead of spending time with her.
She started to pout. "I'm not gonna violate you in your sleep..." She tried to fight back her smile and failed miserably. "Unless you ask me to, of course. But I don't think you will when you're still blushing after a quick kiss like that." His worried face was really cute, she wanted to reach out and squish his cheeks.
Her lips parted and she chewed on her bottom lip for a moment as Kenny leaned in. Seriously, the guy had amazing bedroom eyes. When he only kissed the corner of her mouth, April found herself whimpering, pouting, though he made it obvious he was teasing her and she touched her fingers to her lips. "You're evil," she sulked, unlocking both doors for them and heading round to climb into the driver's side. She would get him back when they weren't in public, turning the car on when he settled in and buckled his seat belt.
The next thirty minutes in the drive across the city were extremely hard for her, msotly because being frustrated in NYC traffic was the worst possible thing to be and she was pretty sure she ruined Kenny's image of her solely from her driving (she had to, it was defensive driving) to her apartment, parking in the garage and helping him to bring his things up to her place. She'd wait until he set his bags down to pounce on him.
