ABOUT

april’s mother was a part of rose pack, having joined when she was a young adult when she moved to new york to live her dreams but after a while she met april’s father a wolf at in the lichen pack. they fell in love and soon her mother was making a change to his pack.

april was born into the lichen pack, growing up she would hear her mother’s stories about her old pack and would love every second, always wanting to make a move her morals not aligning with her original pack. it was only when she was forced to trigger herself by her father mostly was when she decided to run.

she went to her mother’s old pack, rose, when she was only fourteen, her mother’s old friend now the beta for the rose took her in and raised her as her on from then on. april came into her own in that time, grew up to be someone she is proud of, someone fair and strong.

april treated the rose as her real family not looking back on the one that she left behind and they treated her as such which showed itself on april getting the alpha title when she was old enough to take up the mantle.

on a personality wise april is nice when she can be, for her pack and family she is the sweetest person around, but she can be harsh when she has to but never unfairly.

she is a strong headed person and will never take a no for an answer if that is not what she is expecting, she will fight to the end of the earth for what she wants and will not let it go until she gets it.

april really enjoys to flirt with people, she does it for fun and she does it for sport, she just likes to see people squirm when she does it.

quite lighthearted and easy going when you don’t catch her rolling her eyes, can enjoy the simplest things in life and have fun with nothing.

takes her responsibilities very seriously and treats her gals and pals from her pack as her children and loves them to death, by that means don’t try anything with them unless you want your head on a platter.

can be harsh if the situation calls for it but she’s usually just a chill person that can’t be bothered to smile all that much.

Yeah, he probably should introduce himself too, huh? Besides, it wasn’t like she would know him. Even if she had seen him before, he wasn’t in her pack. “Oh! Sorry, yeah,” Jordan blurted, swallowing hard before giving her another smile. “Ah, I’m Jordan. I’m with the Eclipse pack.” Okay, April didn’t ask for that bit, but he figured he’d add it. “But if I apologize for everything, does that mean everything is nothing?” He then pondered in a light-hearted manner, but realized it was a dumb joke. Jordan blinked at her compliment but laughed hesitantly. “I mean, not sure if I’d be the best company. Compared to everyone else, I’m looking a little… boring.” 

she can’t help but chuckle at his words not taking to heart how she hadn’t had his name yet, she brings her glass to her lips and sip the drink “jordan,” she nods “yes, i’ve seen you with them.” she nods with a smile on her features, she has a close relationship with his pack which puts her at ease while talking to him “if you apologize for everything, you are apologizing too much, jordan, even you try to make it philosophical.” she teases with a light chuckle “ you have been great company so far, why would it be different moving forward? compared to everyone else in this bar, you are the most interesting and not creepy one.”

talia

     TALIA SCRUNCHES HER NOSE AT the memory, one that she wishes she hasn’t been replaying during her down time. it’s just something she hadn’t been able to wrap her head around it, and she’s tired of not knowing the answers. and if she’s tired of not knowing the solutions, she knows her pack is just as aggravated. she nods her head, and she does think april is someone that she can confide in, grateful for her. “i wish i did. the only thing i can think of is something gone wrong, but i feel like that would point too many fingers at people.” and the last thing they need is division amongst all of the supernatural creatures of new york. 

a frustrated sigh leaves april as her mind keeps running over the dramatizations of what had happened during those times. she looks back at talia as she starts to speak and nods along with the words, having someone to share this frustrations with was reassuring for april knowing she wasn’t alone, “i agree. something is not adding up. why you don’t want to point fingers anymore ?” she teases the other, knowing full well why that would be a bad idea but couldn’t help herself for trying to bring some lightheartedness to the conversation “ come on, tell me what you think. ”

“ oh, should i ? thank you for telling me how to lead my people. ” april sighs, knowing full well that rosamie was right, but not wanting to give her the satisfaction just yet “ you have a feeling ? do you want to elaborate on that ? ”

“you're right about that, this is a crisis - we can't have a semi-decent party and what does the council know about it?” resolutely he had taken her jaw mid the thought, speaking soberly, “not only us darling.”

for a decade he'd been turned to, however unorthodox was his way, they chose him to make the hard decisions. however far he feels on the inside, his pack was a family. beck, needing to be distracted to gather up his private thoughts to share, leans forward to kiss april, going light for the coffee cup. “if it's the start of something, there's no need for you to be getting caught in this, my pack they doesn't need to be caught in something.”

“ it was a good party actually, until the birds of it all. i don’t know, i think nothing. ” she looks at her phone at the nightstand with no new information about anything, a frustrated sigh leaving her lips before her gaze goes back to him. “ hm, alright, so you want to move two packs out from their homes to where exactly ? ” she questioned with a raised eyebrow. she watched him wondering if his idea was one worth thinking about even though she would hate to rip her pack from everything they knew but her thoughts were cut short ass she felt his lips on hers. she sets the cup back on the nightstand once they pull away from each other and cups his face with her hands “ if something is starting, i’m already caught in this. ”

“Oh, okay, Miss April,” Jordan corrected himself, only to realize that was probably unnecessary too. “I mean, April. Sorry.” He just tried to be respectful, and that meant going straight to formal. Besides, she was an Alpha. That title deserved a lot of respect, regardless of if she were his Alpha or not. She asked what Jordan was sorry for, and he became even more flustered. “Ah, bad habit,” he admitted, always apologizing when it wasn’t necessary. But he thought back to her initial question, and he gestured loosely over to the group. “Um, a friend convinced me to come. I don’t really know anyone over there, so just figured I’d hang around here.”

she can’t help but be amused by his reaction, a smile reaching her lips as he said her name “ ah there we go. ” she smiled, she appreciated his respectfulness over her title, but that disconnect was never something she wanted from other wolves that weren’t in a position such as hers even if they weren’t from her own pack “ now would be a great time to tell me your name. ” she teases, she knew of him had seen him around but never caught his name when they were around each other. “ i think so, you shouldn’t be apologizing for nothing. ” she gives him a gentle smile and takes another sip of her drink. “ i see, well good thing you don’t otherwise i wouldn’t have anyone to hang out with, huh ? ” she looks over at the pool table and then some creepy people on the other corner of the bar “ as you can see from the frat party and the hrs worse nightmare convention, you are the best choice in here. ”

“it was quite big actually– the glass i mean, enough for the birds head to fit in all the way. i wasn’t just going to let the champagne go to waste. it was perfectly good champagne.” he said defensively as he raises his hands up in the air defensively. “besides whoever has the underpaid job to clean up the dead birds and the champagne flutes isn’t my problem. i just went to that party to get the good booze and i still didn’t even get drunk, i guess that’s what i get for being an ancient kitsune.” he says with a shrug slouching in his seat as he looked over at her with an amused smile on his lips. “you actually get quite used to the dead fish smell, i’m not sure if dead crow smell would be the same though.” 

april can’t help but chuckle at his explanation with a nod “ alright, i would certainly like one of those big glasses of champagne right about now. ” she shakes her head “ you are kidding, you didn’t drink it. didn’t it had blood or goo or whatever ? was it perfectly good, was it really ? ” she questions teasingly at the other as she tilts her head. “ i guess so, feel a bit bad for them. definitely not what they signed up for. ” she snorts and nods her head “ i hear that, i think i can count in one hand the times i was drunk, it’s a blessing and a curse. ” she holds up her glass to cheer him and shrugging “ do you ? i don’t think i would want to get used to it, but i’m glad you did. i think dead bird is less rancid. ”

     TALIA LISTENS CLOSELY AS APRIL speaks, wanting to know how one of the other alphas feels about all of this, and out of all of them, she’s the one that she trusts the most. “right, it is… weird that it happened.” she doesn’t even think there’s a natural reason for it, which points to their side of new york. “i just… i feel bad that the pack is wanting answers. everyone’s wanting answers,” she adds at the last part. “but i can’t give them any.” which is something that talia has always been able to do for the people she cares about.

april sighs as she thinks over the gala situation she shouldn’t be surprised by anything at this point considering the world they live in but still did. “ weird is definitely a word for it. disgusting is another. ” she shrugs, she knows it’s most likely related to something supernatural that had caused this but still she had hope it was something as simple as pollution or something. april nods, with the amount of question she’s gotten it was no surprise that talia has dealt with the same treatment “ i get it, i wish we had answers for them. it’s incredibly frustrating being in the dark like this. do you have any guesses ? ”

“yep i’m pretty sure it just plopped straight in my champagne glass almost to the point where you could practically hear it land in. i just sort of emptied the champagne glass and left it there for someone else to deal with.” he said with a shrug as he slouched against his seat. the afternoon sun was shining in the dark tavern and he watched mindlessly as the alcohol bottles seemed to sparkle in the sunlight. “i wonder who cleans up all those dead birds, y’know? i’d rather be stuck at the lighthouse and smell the dead fish than to smell dead birds.” 

head tilts as her face continues to scrunch up at his explanation “ how big was your glass of champagne ? or how small was that bird ? ” she questioned “ you — emptied the glass ? as in you drank it ? ” the disgusted look on her face making a permanent place on her features as he retells the stories of the party “ someone that is severely underpaid i’m sure. ”  she nods at his comparison “ i’m not sure the smell is that much different, but i do think dead fish might be worst. ”

     “I KNOW I SHOULD BE freaking out about this crow situation,” talia begins, adjusting herself on the couch so that her legs were underneath her. “but i’m… not? is that bad?” being an alpha, she knows she has to be concerned for her pack, which she obviously is, but barely anyone in her pack has given it a second thought. “what are your thoughts on it?”

april cozied up on her own spot as the other spoke, one shoulder shrugging “ i don’t think it’s bad, i mean i’m curious. i would like to find out what is going on. ” she offers and tilts her head “ we don’t really know if it a threat in any way so i don’t think we need to worry ourselves about something we are not sure off. ” april was highly alert with whatever that was going on, as an alpha she had to for the sake of her pack but it was useless to stress herself about something out of her control “ i sure would like to know if this is even a supernatural thing. ”

Jordan was just staring absentmindedly at the glass of carbonated water, hardly reacting when someone sat next to him. He only really caught the tail end of her remark, glancing over his shoulder at the pool table group again. He hadn’t really even glanced at her yet, not out of rudeness but just because he was really spaced out. “Oh, uh. Social crowds aren’t really my thing, to be honest. Especially… loud ones,” Jordan admitted with a nervous laugh, finally looking at her. And he did a double take, shock washing over him. “M-Ms. D’Amato!” He exclaimed, almost choking on his own spit. “H-Hi, sorry, I’m sorry.”

she nods at his explanation before her drink is placed in front of her, she thanks the bartender before turning back at the other “ i see, that makes sense, so what exactly are you doing here ? i’m sure you have sparkling at your place, no ? ” she offers with a teasing smile. at his tone change she couldn’t help but chuckle “ no come on, april is fine. ” she waves him off and takes a sip from her drink “ hey, what are you sorry for, kid ? ” she arches her eyebrow amused by the other’s reaction.

“well,” kuro says sitting across from her in a bar in the bronx. he had decided to go see her after what felt like a long time of not annoying her. that was the one thing he was good at to piss her off, right? he couldn’t let her think that he forgot about her. ‘that gala came to an exciting end, didn’t it?” he asks with a cheeky smile as he holds a beer bottle in his hand. the fact that it was nearing noon and it was already one of those days was saying a lot. “i’m pretty sure one of those crows fell in my champagne glass.” he says nearly grimacing at the memory.

she  watches  the  other  sit  through  the  corner  of  her  eye,  chugging  the  rest  of  her  drink  before  finally  acknowledging  kuro  by  turning  to  face  him  “  it  sure  did.  no  expenses  were  were  kept,  huh,  though  i  believe  when  birds  are  used  in  these  things  it’s  usually  white  doves  or  something.  an  interesting  change  of  pace.  ”  her  tone  filled  with  sarcasm  with  a  smirk  settled  on  her  lips.  “  are  you  serious  ?  ”  her  nose  turns  at  the  image  “  that’s  disgusting.  ”

“a bunch of birds - crows, if you can believe it, fell out of the sky and we missed it.” beck said setting her coffee down at the nightstand, antsy to wake up to the morning news. he sat down on the bed next to april, “now will you listen that we need to pack up and leave this horrible city behind?” @aprilsims

 she  takes  the  coffee  and  drinks  a  sip  of  it,  watching  him  over  the  edge  of  the  cup  “  i’ve  heard,  it  seems  like  we  missed  quite  the  show  and  here  i  thought  we  would  just  miss  the  fireworks.  can’t  lie,  i’m  relieved  i  didn’t  have  to  watch  a  bunch  of  dead  birds  fall.  ”  she  turns  her  nose  playfully  and  sits  up  on  the  bed  as  he  takes  the  spot  next  to  her.  a  laugh  passes  her  lips  as  she  shakes  her  head  “  yes,  because  two  alphas  packing  up  and  running  away  is  the  best  solution  to  a  crisis.  ”

Normally, Jordan wasn’t one to intentionally go to the Wolf’s Eye by himself, which wasn’t a surprise. He had come along with a friend that evening, who was now off playing pool with some others Jordan didn’t know. So, he opted to just sit alone at the bar, being the awkward guy he was. He got enough crowd socialization at the gala. He didn’t really want it again, at least not right now. Sipping on his club soda, Jordan sat there quietly, looking at nothing in particular as he let his thoughts go from one thing to another.

 april  walked  in  the  bar  and  let  her  gaze  run  through  the  people  in  it  looking  for  a  place  to  take  a  seat.  eyes  catch  the  lone  guy  in  the  away  from  all  the  commotion  she  didn’t  feel  like  dealing  with  at  that  time,  moved  closer  to  him  and  taking  a  seat  next  to  him  before  asking  for  her  drink.  gaze  flickers  to  the  people  at  the  pool  table  before  looking  at  the  other  “  hey,  ”  she  tilts  her  head  “  why  you  all  alone  over  here  ?  shouldn’t  you  be  having  fun  or  whatever  ?  ”

She was rarely ever to be left speechless, and she could certainly say today more so than any other day. “can’t complain.” she nods her head as she takes a seat next to april. “Oh, yes, please.” hell, the night could be spent here, and she would be okay with that. “A glass of red wine,  Cabernet Sauvignon. I’ll buy your next drink.” it certainly was a change for this wolf. “aside from everyone being cordial with one another, it’s nice to go out.” she had been to places, but not this formally dressed.

 her  lips  stuck  on  a  permanent  smile  as  the  other  stays  with  her  and  takes  a  seat  “  good.”  she  offers  before  turning  to  the  bar  to  call  the  bartender  to  them  and  repeats  alena’s  request  to  them  and  moves  to  face  her  again  “oh  no,  no  need.  i’ll  be  the  one  paying  for  your  drinks  tonight.  you  can  repay  me  later.”  she  chuckles.  april  nods  slowly  at  the  words  “it  is  nice  to  go  out.  and  the  cordial  thing,  does  get  annoying  but  at  least  everyone  is  playing  nice.”
