Hi! I don’t know if you’ve answered this before, but would you be able to explain the extent of ‘Goddess Madoka’ or ‘Ultimate Madoka’s’ powers? Particularly tied to her bow? I was talking to some friends about strongest weapons in anime, and it’s been a while since I’ve watched PMMM, but for some reason I feel like Madoka is OP?? Lol that and I vouched for the Silence Glaive! Any insight you have would be great, when I try to look up info I fail to find any ^^’
Several months ago I wrote a post about the nature of Madokami's godhood that you might be interested in! Basically I wrote that she's a god (and a very powerful one at that) but not capital-G God as described by monotheistic religions.
As a god, Madokami's powers are primarily tied to her role as the Law of Cycles and the savior of magical girls. The only time we really see her wield her powers destructively was against Kriemhild Gretchen in the final episode (although, tbf, we really don't see much of Madokami at all). Given that Kriemhild Gretchen was a planet-sized Witch and born from the despair of every magical girl who has ever and will ever exist, and Madokami managed to kill her with just one blow, I think it's safe to say Madokami is very powerful. In almost every other case though, Madokami doesn't actually fight Witches, she gets rid of them before they're even born by purifying Soul Gems.
I would definitely say Madokami and her bow are stronger than Sailor Saturn and her Silence Glaive though, if just for the simple fact that Madokami doesn't die after exerting such enormous power. And actually, I do think Madokami is stronger; when Saturn faced off against Pharaoh 90 in both the anime and manga, she was strong enough to defeat him with the Silence Glaive, but she died and was reborn as a baby afterwards. Not only do I think Kriemhild Gretchen is a bigger threat than Pharaoh 90 (again, she is literally bigger than Earth), Madokami is able to strike a fatal blow and suffer no consequences. Of course, she is a literal goddess, so no shade to Saturn!
