Choi Minho - crowned by Jongyu as SHINee’s King of Aegyo 160222~

In today’s rendition of “The World Where You Exist,” Minho, instead of the usual “forever kissing the sun,” instead sang, “forever kissing the moon.”
thank you, shinee.
words cannot express how emotional and heart-wrenching this concert must’ve been for you. even from an ocean away, i could feel the sentiment behind every single song, every dance, every VCR, every talk… nothing about this was easy, but all of you held your ground and got through it in a way that makes me even prouder (if that’s even possible) to be a shawol.
thank you onew, for being the bravest and incredibly strong leader to all of the members and fans. nothing in the world could have prepared you for this, but as the oldest and leader, you’ve handled it all with a leveled head and a warm heart. no one wanted your return to be like this, but we know that you’ll only do amazing things from here on out. thank you key, for being open and honest with not only yourself, but shawols too throughout all of this. you’ve shared so much with us when you never had to, but we appreciate everything that you’ve said and done thus far so much. not only has it helped us as your fans, but i hope that relieving yourself of those thoughts and emotions has helped you as well. thank you minho, for being the pillar to support the members, your family, and the fans. no one can even begin to describe how strong your love for your brothers is and it shows with every word you say and every action you do. you’ve taken such good care of not only yourself, but jonghyun’s loved ones and you have the biggest heart i’ve ever seen. thank you taemin, for remaining strong and dependable throughout everything. i know that emotions aren’t easily to express for you, but you’ve been so brave throughout all of this and have worked hard to keep jonghyun’s spirit alive. nothing about this was easy, but you’ve handled it amazingly thus far; keep going. thank you jonghyun, for watching over all of us and your fellow brothers not only now, but ever since you left us. you are missed everyday; there isn’t a day that goes by where i don’t think of you. as your fans though, we (and your brothers) will be sure that your memory is never forgotten.
you did well.
At the end of the encore, Minho and Kibum were both crying hard. Minho stared at the empty place for a few moments before turning to embrace Kibum. He kept his arm around him tightly as they walked off together.
Minho has hit a handful of absolutely stunning high notes this evening. It’s very clear how much he has grown as a vocalist.
「 shinee world the best 2018 」 ♡ 180218 translation: kimtaem / nikkii_sm / onboms during the final ment kibum said that even if jonghyun is not around (missing) that shinee will always remain as a unit of five people. he said to never forget him and looked upward to the sky, blew a kiss and said: “you’re watching us, right? i love you” after.
「 shinee world the best 2018 」 ♡ 180218 translation: nikkii_sm like yesterday: minho once again asked shawols to “never ever” forget jonghyun.
180218 [Kyocera dome] 🐰 fanaccount: when they flipped the boxes at the end of lucky star they (note:onkey with 3 back up dancers) got it right this time (op:yesterday it said “scar” lol) but then onew intentionally moved the last box for some reason so it said “stay” (note:he seems to be dancing the “stay” part on danger) (©keyoemi, ©BunnyBoy_JK)

[With Jonghyun]
「 shinee world the best 2018 」 ♡ 180217 translation: keyoemi / kimtaem / omgminho they performed a second new song during the encore - also featuring jonghyun’s voice. they all wore white and, as can be seen above, left an empty mic stand for jonghyun in the middle - where he usually would have stood. they put a rose (or roses) on the empty mic stand. they also had roses pinned to their chests. after the song finished they all left their roses on the standing microphone and left the stage, ending the concert. they all cried during the performance.
Jonghyun playing the Kazoo on the Moon #Alwayswith5HINee Cr:chickenmaniac don’t repost thanks
I want to take a moment and recognize what SHINee has done with SHINee World the Best 2018. This was not just a concert - this was a feat which took immeasurable mental, emotional and physical endurance to accomplish. Underneath everything, we have the tragic event that occurred only 2 months ago which SHINee is dealing with, not only on a personal level (losing their brother), but on a career and public level as well (whether they could go on as SHINee, and dealing with having their every move/word judged). Then they had to make the decision on whether to actually have the concerts. That’s only the beginning. Then they had to figure out the logistics of everything - what songs can they do? Will they play Jonghyun’s vocals, or have someone take his parts? Will they have a fill-in dancer or will they change the choreography? What will they say to the fans? They decided to strategically include Jonghyun and various tributes to him throughout the show - and they did so perfectly, with lovely and meaningful symbolism and in a way that didn’t drag down the mood of the entire concert (concentrating the ballads with Jonghyun’s vocals near the beginning, then switching over to a string of fun/energetic songs). They did all this and were mostly able to keep their shit together, which is amazing in and of itself. These guys (Jonghyun included) have always shown unparalleled dedication to their work and to their fans. The thought and sheer effort that was put into this is absolutely incredible. SHINee is the Best, indeed.
