Anne Sallow when she loses a bet to you

Anne laughs the moment she loses. Not because she doesn’t care, but because she finds the whole thing genuinely funny.

“Alright, alright. I lost. What do I have to do?”

She would probably make the situation funnier on purpose just to make you laugh. 

If Sebastian is there, she’ll probably accuse him of enjoying her defeat far too much.“You laugh now, but I know things about you.” 

She might lose gracefully, but she is still a Sallow. She won’t let anyone have the upper hand for too long..

She’ll absolutely demand a rematch later.

Amit Thakkar when he loses a bet to you

He probably knew he was going to lose from the beginning.

He didn’t want to miss the chance to make a bet with you, though.

He’ll start explaining why he lost the bet. “Well, statistically, I suppose this outcome was always possible-”

You have to stop him before he turns his defeat into a full academic presentation.

He isn’t upset. Mostly, he’s fascinated by how it happened.

If the bet involved something intellectual, he’ll want to analyse your method. If the bet involved luck, he’ll claim the universe was simply not on his side today.

Leander Prewett when he loses a bet to you

Leander looks personally betrayed by fate.

“Oh no, this can’t be happening to me. I don’t want to wear that hat for the rest of the week.”

He’s dramatic about it. Very dramatic. For a moment, you almost feel bad.

He’ll try to negotiate, but he knows he lost fairly. “Surely we can discuss the terms?”

He’ll fulfil the bet, but he’ll look like he’s going through the greatest tragedy of his life.

The funny thing is that he somehow makes it worse for himself by drawing too much attention.

By the end of it, he’s embarrassed, red-faced, and pretending he doesn’t care.

Imelda Reyes when she loses a bet to you

She hates losing, so she’ll probably find a way to make a new bet. This cannot stay like this.

She would call you ridiculous, but she will fulfill the bet.

She is ready to fight anyone who dares remind her she lost.

She will get even more competitive after this. “You won once. Don’t get comfortable.”

She acts like the bet was stupid anyway, even though she was definitely invested.

She won’t back out. She might complain, but she has too much pride not to keep her word.

She’ll spend the rest of the week trying to make you agree to another challenge.

Natsai Onai when she loses a bet to you

She treats it like a serious offence and then laughs about it.

She accepts defeat with dignity, but not without raising an eyebrow.

“Well played. I underestimated you.” That’s probably the highest compliment you could receive from her.

She might ask what your strategy was, not because she’s upset, but because she genuinely wants to understand how you beat her.

She’s proud of you, even if she won’t make a big show of it.

If the bet was about skill, she’ll ask for a rematch eventually.

Poppy Sweeting when she loses a bet to you

She’d just laugh about it. It was so much fun betting on something.

“We should do it again sometime! But let’s make it more dangerous!”

She will cheer way too loudly when you win.

She doesn’t care that she lost because she genuinely had fun.

She’ll fulfil the bet with the biggest smile on her face.

She’s the kind of person who turns losing into another adventure.

Honestly, you’re not even sure she understands the concept of being a sore loser.

Garreth Weasley when he loses a bet to you

He’d probably laugh and feel a little embarrassed by it.

“Fine, you win. Enjoy it while it lasts. Next time, I’m definitely winning.”

Surprisingly, he’s more excited than you that you won.

He makes the whole thing funnier than it needs to be.

If the bet involves doing something ridiculous, he’ll commit to it completely.

“I lost, yes, but you should have seen how brilliantly I lost.”

He’ll definitely suggest another bet five minutes later.

Ominis Gaunt when he loses a bet to you

He knows how to lose. He will do whatever the two of you agreed on with grace.

Annoyingly, he makes losing look elegant. 

He won’t complain, won’t argue, and won’t try to escape the consequences. “A bet is a bet.”

But he will remember this. Not in a petty way. Well… maybe a little.

He’ll let you enjoy your victory, but there’s a small smile on his face that tells you he’s already planning how to win next time.

He’s calm about losing, but he is absolutely dangerous in a rematch.

Sebastian Sallow when he loses a bet to you

He can’t believe he lost. He was so sure he would win.

He says he doesn’t care, but acts devastated and dramatic about it.

He’s secretly happy that you won. He loves seeing that light in your eyes when you’re happy.

Of course, he’ll complain the entire time. “This was clearly rigged.”

He will fulfil the bet, but he’ll make sure everyone knows he’s doing it against his will.

If the bet is embarrassing, he pretends to be annoyed, but you can tell he’s enjoying the attention a little too much.

If you tease him about losing, he’ll get very close and say something like: “Careful. I might win next time.”

She’s happy that you asked her. She’s really good at explaining things.

You can see in her eyes how much she misses being at school.

But teaching this to you makes her feel like she’s back at Hogwarts, even if it’s only for a moment.

She’s patient, warm, and very encouraging.

She probably learned a lot from studying with Sebastian and Ominis, so she has a few tricks of her own.

She feels useful again, and that means more to her than she says.

If you thank her, she’ll smile softly and pretend it wasn’t a big deal. But it was. To both of you.

He comes prepared. It’s like he had been waiting for this, like he knew you would ask him.

It surprises you how organised he is. He even made some notes for you.

He’s very observant, so he knows exactly what works for you. You’ll learn it in no time.

He loves teaching you. It actually helps him study too.

He won’t say it, but he prepares for every little lesson you two have. He doesn’t want to look unprepared.

He explains things with so much detail that you have to remind him you’re still new to this.

He’ll probably lend you books and then ask what you thought of them.

Leander Prewett when you ask him to teach you something

He’d probably be very nervous for the first few minutes. Hands shaking and everything.

But seeing how you’re actually paying attention and trying what he’s telling you gives him more confidence.

He’s brilliant, but you notice it’s his fear of failure that usually betrays him.

Once he relaxes, he explains things better than you expected.

He gets very excited when you understand something because of him.

By the end of the lesson, he looks happier than you’ve ever seen him.

Imelda Reyes when you ask her to teach you something

“You know what? I’ll help you. You look like you really need my help.”

She acts as if teaching you is a burden, but she shows up fully prepared.

She’s surprisingly good at teaching because she’s direct and doesn’t waste time.

If you make a mistake, she’ll roll her eyes, but then explain it again until you get it right.

“You’re thinking too much. Again. Stop that.”

She’ll challenge you constantly, but that’s because she knows you can handle it.

Natsai Onai when you ask her to teach you something

There’s no one better than Natsai. She’s so smart and knows exactly how to teach.

She’ll make it fun. She doesn’t want you to hate the subject just because your study experience was boring.

She has a way of explaining things that shows you the beauty in everything.

She will end up teaching you how she learned it at Uagadou too.

Her lessons feel different. Less rigid, more instinctive.

She wants you to trust yourself, not just memorise the theory.

“You are capable of more than you think. But first, you must stop doubting yourself.”

I would make a room for Anne—something cozy for her—so that she can see her friends and doesn't feel so alone.

Oh yes me too. I love Anne and I just want her to be happy.

Poppy Sweeting when you ask her to teach you something

She’s genuinely excited about this. Studying with you is much better than doing it alone.

Her lessons will always come with her telling you about some adventure she recently had.

She looks very sweet and shy, but she’s actually an amazing witch. She has so much potential.

She will probably end up dragging you into one of her adventures.

She explains things with so much enthusiasm that it’s impossible not to listen.

If the subject involves magical creatures in any way, she becomes unstoppable.

She’ll make you feel like learning is not about being perfect, but about caring enough to try.

Garreth Weasley when you ask him to teach you something

He explains things in the weirdest ways, but somehow they make sense.

For a moment, you think this isn’t working, but somehow, he manages to teach you well.

Both of you will end up laughing in the library or something. He’s very funny.

His notes are a mess, so he’ll definitely have to translate them for you.

Under all that chaos, there’s a brilliant boy whose curiosity makes him a hundred times more interesting.

He might accidentally distract you more than he helps, but you’ll still learn a lot.
