Something snuck up behind Webber slowly, making sure to not scare the young child. That's when Webber could see a large tail slowly move around him, the tail soon curving around Webber's side and torso, the end of the tail resting on his stomach. That's when the full creature, the owner of the tail, stepped closer with a large smirk. "Webber...It's so good to see you..." Came a smooth, familiar voice. It was Maxwell! But he looked like he had been combined with a krampus. (karmacraftier)

Ā Ā Webberās fur was on end from the moment the beast shifted in the shadows, but he wasnāt frightened. He was vaguely aware of the danger, but the child was far too enthralled in his own happenings to truly take note. In his vaguely-nimble fingers he was crafting a rather elegant flower crown. Not that he had any friends to share them with.
Ā Ā The tail startled him. At first sight Webber had thought it a tentacle, never mind the fact that he was a great distance from the nearest swamp. However, at its delicate touch, Webber simply turned his head to see the beast leave the dense underbrush. The childās expression brightened with recognition and he let out a small gasp of excitement. He jumped up to his feet and turned the rest of his body to greet the not-so-evil villain, claws still tenderly gripping his floral diadem.
āMister Maxwell!ā He greeted with unmasked enthusiasm, then hesitated, carefully studying the other monster. The king did⦠not resemble his statues much anymore. The spider frowned, holding his head slightly askew. āThatās a really nasty sunburn, Mister Maxwell.ā His comment was soft, laced with concern.
Krampwellās smirk grew as he saw the childās enthusiam, showing off his fanged teeth as he stared down to the small spider child. What an innocent creature, he felt rather bad that the boy had no friends, so Maxwell decided to pay him a visit.
When Webber commented about the sunburn Krampwell laughed a little, not laughing at Webber of course, just chuckling from the amusement.Ā āOh goodness child, noā¦.ā Krampwell went on one knee which was weird to see because he had ⦠hooves. He looked as if he was like a satyr.Ā
āSadly itās not a sunburn, I would have preferred it.ā Krampwell made sure to choose his words carefully, his voice continuing to be smooth with a hint of reassurance.Ā āWhy donāt you show me what youāre making there?ā He offered Webber a kind and gentle smile, Maxwell always had a soft spot for children.Ā āIt looks quite lovelyā¦.ā
Ā Ā Ā Webber couldnāt help but feel a surge of excitement when the sun glanced off the Maxwell-Krampus Conglomerateās canines. Another monster! It wasnāt wrong for Webber to feel... enthused about this, was it? He had spent so long in the constant being so... different. Part of this world, but not wholly. And here stood, or... knelt, another beast. Half monster, half not. It brought about a sense of solace.
Ā Ā Ā As Maxwell moved to kneel before Webber, the spider straightened his neck, eyes following the fallen king as he dipped to eye-level. Webber beamed, his smile now stretching across his rounded, fuzzy face.Ā āPreferred a sunburn?ā He echoed, wrinkling his face up at the vague memory of the dry and itchy burn that came from a sunburn, mildly offended by the mere thought of having one.
Ā Ā Ā At Maxwellās comment of intrigue, Webberās gaze dropped down to his deftly-crafted creation, mildly abashed. He turned the garland over in his hands a few times, suddenly faced with a scenario he hadnāt expected to find himself in: presenting a craft to another person. It only took a moment for him to abandon his trepidation and held out the flower crown. His hands were outstretched, palms up, letting the ring of petals drape delicately over his fingers, āWe were making it this morning!āĀ
Ā Ā Ā Looking at the crown in his possession, Webber did feel a slight glimmer of pride. He had been searching all night and the evening prior for the prettiest flowers he could find. His eyes darted back up to meet with Maxwellās,Ā āWe found a buncha pretty white ones by a pond, and some butterflies lead us right to a patch of roses, too! It took us forever, but we plucked off all the thorns, so itās nice to wear andĀ look at!ā A brief pause.
Ā Ā Ā āDo you want to try it on? We could make you a new one if you donāt like the colors!ā
