With the slight twitch of his eye, the cup flew out of the woman’s hand swiftly and splattered somewhere across the room. A silent hush went across the cafe, but the movement had been too quick for anyone to be able to point a finger at a suspect. Fortunately, the doctor was too far away for people to become suspicious of him.
“Move.” He commanded in a hushed tone, his eyes darkening. He was in no mood for games, and if the woman didn’t catch on to that, she would be the next thing to splatter against the wall.
Oh. He wanted to show off. Arachne’s face went from semi-happy to grouchy in mere seconds, milliseconds, if to be honest. Nobody threatened her. Nobody dared to threaten her. It was plain stupid, reckless, irrational. Even so, she slowly slipped off the chair and nodded to the unkind stranger, holding out a hand for him to press rather than saying or doing anything spiteful. “I wish no conflict. My apologies.”
