LOOK FEAR IN THE FACE CLAYFACE, OCTOBER 23
“We meet Matt at a real turning point in his career and then, very quickly, at a real turning point in his life,” he says. “It’s a horror, but it’s a thriller. It asks, How far would you go to reclaim your life that you’ve built?”

Anyway. I rewatched Possession last night of course and, after finally watching the Smile movies for the first time, was reminded Parker Finn is supposed to be doing a remake. I can say "what's the point" abt any fucking remake movie cuz we're so oversaturated with them and I want to see literally anything new and original instead, but fr what's the point of remaking Possession?? The direction of the film is sooo specific and manic and unique to Zulawski that it doesn't make sense to try to "tell the same story" differently. The story itself is so specific to a time and place that no longer exists, and about the lived experience of someone who is no longer alive, that I don't even know why someone would want to remake it. Is it going to be set in Cold War era West Berlin? Are they going to try to find a contemporary sociopolitical parallel? Does the political context not matter at all to Finn and the producers, and they just wanna have Margaret Qualley freak out in a subway station and fuck a tentacle monster? Who knowsssss. The fucking Smile guy. Come on.
Are they deadass abt the possession remake, if so KEEP IT 😭✌️🙏
