morrowind style directions .

people complain morrowind directions hard to follow , but honestly usually not too bad - just need to pay attention to environment and road signage .

with that in mind , want enough landmarks , buildings , and signage to make any directions easy to grasp and follow . some things will be off beaten path , but even those should still be distinct enough to find with adequate directions .

would anyone happen to have that post from player who create wooden pillar cities ? just 1-thick pillars of wooden planks with torches on top , at variable heights .

honestly figure would already be here on blog but apparently not ? so have to ask good folk of tumblr if anyone else have on hand .

recent expansion in world bring to beautiful cherry grove , which seem like perfect place for human sanctuary .

up in this pink and white tower live witch of crimson , who hold keys to ward off fae and even cure ailments . for this reason , witch of crimson is unable to leave tower - fae would target rather brutally .

there is path which lead up to tower , but witch could only ward so much - this path is known as crimson sanctuary . everything before this path is still under rule of fae , and fae do not play around .

liar's lane precede crimson sanctuary , named so by fae to cast doubt on witch of crimson , which feature not 1 but 2 underground tunnels full of spores . there is even area along liar's lane that could designate as false crimson sanctuary , only identifiable by lack of crimson berries which make up part of wards .

to reach real sanctuary , have to face several fae traps all in succession . this lore shit is so much fun .

really would like to get to woodland mansion in this world , and know coordinates , but unfortunately really do not want to balloon world size with chunk trail . can not really do any other way though , because need to connect paths and such anyways .

still , this did lead to some expansion on east side of world . since just yesterday work on more roads and fun things - hopefully can get more named network up soon .

plural in minecraft idea

take format of leonSBU's torture nexus , otherwise known as build challenges ! some specific videos to pull from could be :

haunted mansion / skyscraper - 1 person build outer shell of building , then task 10 others to build rooms that fill in appropriately

copy this house - 1 person build house , then 10 others copy previous iteration with less and less time to both study and build

10 houses - 1 person build house or other structure , then add mandatory rule for next builder to follow , so that final build must follow 10 rules

10 trees / 10 zoo animals - create 10 random prompts of category , then each builder pull 1

medieval castle - 1 person create prompt , then 10 others work on different areas of build , but each one can change 1 word of prompt as silly game of build telephone

this could be done in superflat world just for silly time limited build challenges , or if anything like kossai , might nix time limit and dot these around forever world as monuments . actually have yet to do this , and will definitely need to pace through fronters , but think this would be really fun !

honestly really enjoy ldshadowlady's recent forever world series .

lots of survival series kind of feel like creative in disguise - all original designs come from hundred or thousand-hour creative test worlds , and then spend hours to numb mind on grind through gather materials and build from litematica . still really impressive stuff , but not scope everyone can just aspire to .

although ldshadowlady still follow premade designs for some aspects , seem much more approachable for survival players - and also , take no shame in ask for help , pop into creative mode , or use non-survival commands just to make things fun .

really enjoy that vibe . everyone should feel free to do whatever in world , even if " break rules " of survival mode .

humans in macinaalo

villagers , illagers , traders , and witches all represent different factions of humans .

villagers hide in walled settlements with animated protectors made of iron . should fae slip past defenses , which is always genuine risk , there is chance villagers will take negotiations , trades , or give into demands so as to not antagonise . villages who do not adequately defend , or who antagonise fae , often become subjects of curses , abductions , and petty revenge .

illagers , or more accurately hunters , intend on destruction of fae . between hunters , some believe cowardice of villagers to be just as dangerous as fae and actively raid , while others only want to hunt fae at source . either way , often very knowledgeable about fae , and that pose danger .

traders , or more accurately travellers , move along world and bring aid . sometimes this is resources from far off , sometimes news , sometimes even look for lost villagers . some travellers also set up semi-permanent points of aid for one another , but beware : fae catch on and create traps of all sorts , even mimics .

witches , or maybe more accurately wisefolk , often live solitary . some may live near village , others rather far from any . these wisefolk look for ways to ward off fae and bolster magic for protection . however , desperate experiments can sometimes end in tragedy , such that fae do not even need to fight .

could add custom named item texture for iron horseshoe and hang that above door . would also make sense to do some kind of custom tree , maybe draw on rowan where blood-like berries drive fae away .

witches , mages , wisefolk , not quite sure what name to go by , but this is one of human factions in world , represent by ingame witches .

unfortunately , poor carousel in desert fairground get more and more broken every time kossai visit .

think could probably rework to prevent breakage if follow different steps , but downside is would need to fully rebuild and make much bigger . at least have literally nothing else in desert fairground right now , so space is entirely free .

but that also beg question : where should desert fairground sit ? maybe this is even wrong place ! might be good idea to hold off on rebuild until get further into desert terraform .

yeah ... definitely wish for more granular structure spawn control . sliders would be most ideal , but even just on or off would be nice . especially if this could somehow be in-game world option to change at any time , not something that need to futz around with . ( or , at very least , that minecraft could provide some sort of built-in utility to futz around with . linux players who suffer in windows-only programs , rise up . )

could find way to disable all structure generation in this main world , but then if ever venture to ancient city or woodland mansion coordinates , would find ... obviously , nothing . want at least one of these major structures , but do not want to generate endless nether portals and trial chambers - or , once hopefully able to update , abandoned camps .

part of why everyone struggle in this was justification of how miners would get carts full of materials back up to surface level when platforms both use stairs .

but , darlings of this court . this is minecraft . there is bubble elevator technology in minecraft . already embrace other aspects of minecraft within this world , why not bubble elevators ?

with this in mind , destroy one platform and need to overhaul other platform to include both stairs and bubble elevators . with that logistical hurdle sorted , now feel ready to tackle actual cave !

for first step intend to remove all stone variety , which include dripstone , and just lay basis . that basis start out as entirely mycelium , seen here , but will almost definitely include some kinds of variation . think podzol could be nice bridge back into stone , but need some way to bridge between mycelium and podzol . maybe even just coarse or rooted dirt will do .

lore reminder : this mine was essentially battleground between fae and humans , where fae choke out from above through deadly spore growth .

red wool pillars for possible miners' tents and such . once reach satisfaction with those , will continue to fill in with trees - custom stamps , because vanilla trees just did not suit scale of this area .

actually have no idea what miners' structure inside this mine should look like , but probably need to completely scrap current little things .

convert this floor into mycelium , replace lots of dripstone with mushrooms . on that note , custom mushrooms . this was effectively battleground between humans and fae , where fae choke out with spores .

cover up nearly all mineshaft and cave entrances , give best idea of what space this all need to work with .

on that note , go through caves and mineshaft to seal off and restrict space . fill in forks that lead to no resources or treasures , and add areas of clear collapse . foxbell mine is mine for actual resources , while this is mine for decoration and lore .

so , there is very real likelihood that duskfall and foxbell mines - while initially very far apart - converge into one cave system .

this is minor frustration as did kind of hope to make custom cave biome while also maintain functionality , and start work on that in foxbell side ... which is now kind of moot . then again since this is axiom , not really hard to just replace with stone again .

think will need to decide where duskfall side of system end , and use that as decorative cave biome . foxbell was already much more exploration-friendly anyway .

just get very small glimmer of idea to run prank shop on personal world - singleplayer is basically multiplayer when plural .

unfortunately , very few people here actually have personal build projects that could potentially be pranked , most is communal . also lack amnesiac memory barriers , so there would be no mystery , subject of prank would just know what is about to happen .

this could be great idea for anyone else , just not this court .
