Recent RP developments with Nix's reincarnation, Naoki, have led to some very emotional healing. The future, embraces the broken child of the past...And heals the pain best he can. They are one and the same. Two sides of the same coin... Had to draw it. The interaction...Was like watching this character from my highschool days graduate. And at the same time, it was like attending his funeral. He became a surgeon in this life, because of vague recollections of Chelsea. And now, he can save others...as well as himself. ----- Sadly the fully coloured art didn't turn out as well as I had hoped, but oh well. Without Undertale, I never would have made this cast of characters back in Highschool, which then inspired me to write so many more. 10 years, and I've finally revamped them into the game Dislyte, in a way that I'm happy with. Originally, in the SSAAF (Six Souls and a Flower) comic, the story was going to end with Alphys making Mettaton style robot bodies for all 6 souls to possess. This let them blend into human society for the most part, as adults...Trying to live as normally as they could, after what happened. The old story is gone, but not forgotten. ...No... You can't allow yourself to forget, can you...?

Exploring worlds. That was Memory’s passion. Observing timelines and their differences and similarities, and also observing their stories. The more interesting the story, the more likely Memory would look into it, and after meeting a certain mage and finding out some very helpful information regarding their void, the glitch had grown extremely interested in taking a look at such a world. Of course she’d already begun examining it anyway, but this had only caused her to want to examine it even more. That was why, despite knowing that her current objective was to find this mage, she was taking her sweet time by walking through Waterfall, the girl noting its lack of monsters. That was fine though. Made things easier for her. She didn’t feel like taking a monster form on anyway, especially since she was still more or less looking for Zephyrus. No. She’d find him soon enough, and appearing in her usual form would also allow him to better recognize her. She didn’t want to look like some random person after all.
Arete: .......
*The poor girl can't help but pull up the hood of her cloak and cover her face. The second hand embarrassment was STRONG, and it was getting to her hard, regardless of if she admitted it or not. Zephyrus' smile fades considerably, a mere trace of his prideful grin remaining.*

Deity or not, you said it yourself right? The creatures on the other side are not to be taken lightly! It's good not to be too tense, they're quite intelligent. I wouldn't be surprised if they can sense fear.
*Quite the obvious desperate backtracking there, but not too bad of a save for something THIS disastrous...Fortunately for Zephyrus however, the gate is complete enough that it can be activated to an extent, and the poor tactician is now using that to his advantage. He puts his hand on a smaller magic circle next to the door, and the symbols begin to glow with intense light. Like a rapidly spreading wildfire, the runes begin to quickly come alive, one after the other starting from Zephyrus' hand. Soon, the whole room is lit up by their ethereal glow, and the door swings open. A swirling mix of light and shadow can be seen on the other side. The spinning vortex gradually increases in speed and intensity, before abruptly dying out with a sound similar to that of a car out of gas. The brightness leaves the room, and Zephyrus begins to explain, eager to ditch the last topic.*
Zephyrus: ...And there you have it! The formulas for the gate itself are already complete. All we need now is an energy source powerful enough to fuel it! Which...
*He points at the ground.*
...Has luckily already been provided for us! The Monsters seem to have made a rather powerful energy source, capable of converting the earth's geothermal energy into magic. It's perfect for the gate. The issue now is just getting to it, and connecting it's strength to the portal. Which, I know how to do of course, but-
*He hesitates, reluctant to break the more unfortunate news, should Memory see it as more fuel for her mockery. Thankfully, Arete is here to continue, not having any more of Zephyrus' beating around the bush.*
Arete: To connect the two, we would have to lay out a line of runes from here all the way to the core. The distance is quite far. It would take a considerable amount of time, especially with just the two of us working by hand. Perhaps you have an alternative way of assisting us?
Poor Zephyrus. Memory kind of felt bad honestly. Kind of. But then again, she couldn’t fully blame the man, not when a lot of misconceptions flew around, misconceptions that she didn’t always bother to correct.
The explanation Zephyrus quickly swung to was one that she didn’t believe for a second, but she wasn’t going to fully call him out on it when he probably needed that save in order to keep his ego intact. Besides, pissing off the person pulling these strings was not at all something she wanted to do. After all, the mage held all the cards; he built the gate, and he could easily just refuse to activate it. What did she have? A bunch of candy bars hidden in Snowdin. Not the best trade. So instead, she let him prattle on, the glitch allowing Zephyrus to jump back into talking about the gate, all up until its activation.
In all honesty, she hadn’t expected him to more or less activate it out of the blue; the glitch wanted some time to prepare, and by that I mean she wanted a moment to gather her nerves in order to brave this hostile void. But nope. He’d activated the thing anyway, and... it actually looked quite beautiful in her opinion. Certainly a sight to behold at the very least, though the look into the void did provide her with a combination of excitement and anxiety... And then it died.
Maybe she should’ve clarified from the very beginning that an Aurelian historian’s broken door isn’t the best thing to use for a magic source.
Nonetheless, thank God he had a back-up, albeit it was... a long ways away, from what Arete had explained. Truly, the Core wasn’t very surprising, but it was far off, and whether or not she could help with that... well, that remained to be seen. “...Hmm... That depends... Is this rune sequence repetitive? If I were given a carved sequence of the repeated phrase on the ground, I could duplicate that until these duplicated phrases inevitably reached the Core.”
Arete: Yes, it is a pattern. It is not terribly long, but it is not simple either by any means. The design must have several layers of complexity, otherwise it will not stand a chance at properly transferring the Core's magic. A weak connection, if you will.
*She flips open her own notebook to show the glitch. A magic circle sits in the middle of the page, albeit one less ornate than the massive design covering the room. A line of symbols can also be seen running through the center, like a chain on a necklace connecting the beads.*
Zephyrus: Tsk! If I still had my equipment with me, this wouldn't be a problem! There are ways to work around this sort of thing of course! The tool in question isn't even hard to craft with the right materials, nor is it costly.
If you can provide me with the materials for that, I can take care of it on my own!
*True to his trait, the mage sounds rather persistent about handling this himself, the slightest hint of worry in his voice. However, his student objects, not taking kindly to his ovabundance of pride or his refusal to simply admit that he's concerned.*
Arete: I believe Ms. Memory can finish the rest of our preparations at a much faster pace. Her abilities have proven to be quite instantaneous thus far.
Zephyrus: Obviously???

I don't doubt her powers, it's a matter of honoring our deal! Why start this trade to begin with if I'm not even allowed to fully do my part??
*The child stares at her teacher, cold eyes locked onto him as if doing a robotic scan. Calmly, she turns to Memory, still maintaining a formal composure.*
Arete: Will this be too burdensome? Zephyrus has informed me of the dangers that inhabit this world's void. I believe I speak for both of us when I say that you should conserve your energy as much as you can. To my understanding, we need not hurry in this procedure. Please take whichever path is least draining for you.

Memory simply watched the mage’s reaction as he realized the candy was something he could physically touch, the glitch standing by and letting Zephyrus and Arete enjoy themselves. Well, Zephyrus enjoy himself. Arete didn’t seem to be having any of it, though their banter was relatively amusing. Honestly the glitch still didn’t know just how much she would like Arete or not, but the kid seemed alright. That was nice.
“Zephyrus, you’re supposed to break it into fourths.” Bold of you to assume she didn’t note him taking a bite out of the whole bar. Memory had a thing for order, and the KitKat rule was just something you didn’t break, no pun intended. “I’ll show you later, I guess. I stashed a bunch of KitKat, Reese’s, and Hershey bars somewhere in the Underground. I’ll he showing you that stash once I’m free. For now, that’s a look into candy from the present.”
Don’t worry Arete. She wouldn’t be spoiling him with candy, at least not right now. “Consider it incentive. Yes, I know you said that you were willing to help me from the beginning, but I need at least something to ensure my existence isn’t at risk.” Even if she liked Zephyrus and found him to be fun, Memory would probably always have her trust issues. That was why they were allies, not friends in her book. And, with an operation like this... Memory couldn’t afford to screw up not even once. “How did that device turn out, by the way? Or is it still under construction?”
Zephyrus: Break it into fourths??
*He scoffs and takes another chomp, stuffing the rest of it into his face.*
Why on earth would I do that??? Chocolate is chocolate, so long as it gets eaten, what does it matter? Besides, that sounds unnecessarily tedious!
*His eyes light up at the mention of more candy.*
Oooh there's more is there? A valuable reward indeed! Well, at least for now. We'll see how much is left once you get out. I'd be lucky just to get even a crumb afterwards!
*The older phantom snickers while his apprentice simply stares at the deity in mild disbelief.*
Arete: ....A goddess paying a ghost candy...In return for freeing her from nearly a lifetime of imprisonment....
*She sighs softly, and shakes her head.*

Zephyrus: Oh, of course! Progress has been quite smooth! We haven't exactly had an abundance of materials, but the most important bit is always the rune work.
*He shrugs nonchalantly, looking rather proud of himself. A glowing notebook appears in his hand, hovering slightly above his palm.*
I've already done it once, and I have everything recorded here! Consider yourself lucky, Mem. You got quite the headstart and the best team for the job! This took me...what? A year, maybe two...? The first time?
Zephyrus is truly an animal when it comes to candy apparently. I can’t believe Memory is now legally obligated to teach him how to break a KitKat into fourths. But that would come once she was out, and since that candy incentive seemed to work, hopefully it wouldn’t be long until that time came. Nonetheless, that response did cause the glitch to smirk in return. “I don’t plan on eating all of it. I plan on properly rationing it actually. Maybe. I piled a lot in there. Nonetheless, there’s definitely too much for me to eat. You’ll have enough, don’t worry.”
Arete mentioning the device’s progress quickly got her attention though, Memory turning towards her and quickly following along once the child began to walk. Ironic how she seemed to act like the more grown up of the two, though perhaps that was just because Memory wasn’t running around managing every little thing like she usually was in her domain. Either way, it was kind of funny to note how grown up she seemed compared to Zephyrus, or maybe that was depressing? Who knows. What mattered more was the device they were going to see.
“If you need more materials, I’m sure I could fetch them. After all, I’ve ambushed you at least twice with my own gifts.” Yes, she’s talking about the door. And the chair. And yes, she’s honestly curious as to where they ended up. “What did you do with those items, by the way? The door and chair? I know I was watching you and Arete when I first dropped them in, but I never stuck around for the aftermath.”
Zephyrus: What? We used them for the gate of course!
*Just then, the group rounds the corner, finding themselves face to face with the gate in question. The broken door can be seen pressed up against the cavern wall, supported by the chair's legs which have been removed with precision. The seat of the chair lies in front of the door, like some kind of doormat. Despite the rather...Questionable materials, the gate itself is not entirely shoddy in appearance. Beautifully intricate runes frame the door with a massive magic circle that expands into the ceiling. The formulas spill out onto the ground as well, carpeting the gravel in deep engravings. The mage spins to face Memory with dramatic flare, his face beaming with pride. Arete stands by, silently but eagerly awaiting the deity's reaction.*
Zephyrus: And VOILA!! The greatest work of art this DISASTER of a mountain has ever seen! Pff, what did you think we were going to use it for?? Did you honestly think I wouldn't pick up on your intentions???
*He smirks smugly, brimming with confidence. The younger soul beside him can be seen pressing her lips together tightly, visibly cringing ever so slightly at her mentor. Seems like she has a good idea of what the truth is, and is hesitant to say it.*
Zephyrus: It may look like just a useless broken door and chair, but OBVIOUSLY there is more to it than meets the eye! Created from YOUR powers? Of course it was easy to deduce that these pieces of furniture-
*He waves to the contraption.*

Exploring worlds. That was Memory’s passion. Observing timelines and their differences and similarities, and also observing their stories. The more interesting the story, the more likely Memory would look into it, and after meeting a certain mage and finding out some very helpful information regarding their void, the glitch had grown extremely interested in taking a look at such a world. Of course she’d already begun examining it anyway, but this had only caused her to want to examine it even more. That was why, despite knowing that her current objective was to find this mage, she was taking her sweet time by walking through Waterfall, the girl noting its lack of monsters. That was fine though. Made things easier for her. She didn’t feel like taking a monster form on anyway, especially since she was still more or less looking for Zephyrus. No. She’d find him soon enough, and appearing in her usual form would also allow him to better recognize her. She didn’t want to look like some random person after all.
Memory simply watched the mage’s reaction as he realized the candy was something he could physically touch, the glitch standing by and letting Zephyrus and Arete enjoy themselves. Well, Zephyrus enjoy himself. Arete didn’t seem to be having any of it, though their banter was relatively amusing. Honestly the glitch still didn’t know just how much she would like Arete or not, but the kid seemed alright. That was nice.
“Zephyrus, you’re supposed to break it into fourths.” Bold of you to assume she didn’t note him taking a bite out of the whole bar. Memory had a thing for order, and the KitKat rule was just something you didn’t break, no pun intended. “I’ll show you later, I guess. I stashed a bunch of KitKat, Reese’s, and Hershey bars somewhere in the Underground. I’ll he showing you that stash once I’m free. For now, that’s a look into candy from the present.”
Don’t worry Arete. She wouldn’t be spoiling him with candy, at least not right now. “Consider it incentive. Yes, I know you said that you were willing to help me from the beginning, but I need at least something to ensure my existence isn’t at risk.” Even if she liked Zephyrus and found him to be fun, Memory would probably always have her trust issues. That was why they were allies, not friends in her book. And, with an operation like this... Memory couldn’t afford to screw up not even once. “How did that device turn out, by the way? Or is it still under construction?”
Zephyrus: Break it into fourths??
*He scoffs and takes another chomp, stuffing the rest of it into his face.*
Why on earth would I do that??? Chocolate is chocolate, so long as it gets eaten, what does it matter? Besides, that sounds unnecessarily tedious!
*His eyes light up at the mention of more candy.*
Oooh there's more is there? A valuable reward indeed! Well, at least for now. We'll see how much is left once you get out. I'd be lucky just to get even a crumb afterwards!
*The older phantom snickers while his apprentice simply stares at the deity in mild disbelief.*
Arete: ....A goddess paying a ghost candy...In return for freeing her from nearly a lifetime of imprisonment....
*She sighs softly, and shakes her head.*
Truly, nothing is out of the realms of possibility now...

Zephyrus: Oh, of course! Progress has been quite smooth! We haven't exactly had an abundance of materials, but the most important bit is always the rune work.
*He shrugs nonchalantly, looking rather proud of himself. A glowing notebook appears in his hand, hovering slightly above his palm.*
